Heh.

I just got a conditional offer (220 UCAS tariff points) for entry into my first choice University: Lincoln

So, I'm rather happy :D

Hooray.

I got 5 offers and my first choice was the one that required the least. York rejected me outright. Gits.

EDIT: I think only one of my offers required points and they wanted something really high because I wrote to tell them that I didn't want to go to the open day because I didn't want to go to their uni. It was something like 380 points or something daft.

EDIT 2: Which other uni's have you applied for?

You're going to Lincoln? I've got a friend in that University, unless I'm very much mistaken :D

Great news!

I've been turned down by Nottingham and Leeds though :\

Ah well, wanted to go to Lincoln anyway!

You should go to a Scottish University. I only needed to get BB to get onto my course.

Too cold, plus it's too far away :P

I applied to Lincoln, Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Durham, Exeter

All wanting ABB or higher.. I'm on a BBC, taking Maths, Physics and History.

Its a 280 ucas points I believe.... so yeah, thats why I hav'nt been on msn or gaming much recently. I simply cant afford to skrew this up anymore. I did that last year and have just about learned my lesson now. :)

Anyway, yeah back to exam revision for my D1 exam tomorrow :P

Yeah, you don't really want to go to Scotland anyway, it's snowing outside in Edinburgh...

Cool, what course are you going to take?

-I loved open days. Good excuse for a day off school :P

Congratulations :D

in 8 months or so i'll be at Bhasvic 6th form colledge in Brighton :(

Bhasvic is an awsome college, I live in brighton too, nice to see so many brighton people!

Also, I do Computer science and artificial intelligence at sussex uni.

Nice one. I just got an interview offer today at Bournemouth for a Computer Animation course; which I am really happy about, as getting an interview is hard.

I also have two other conditional offers and another interview out of the 4 I applied for.

I have a friend who is planning on going to Lincon, which course is it?

Hmm, I should really think about applying to university sometime soon.

Come to Durham, don't even apply, I'll let you stay in my room till you get sorted. Just tell them you've been sleeping since the first day in October so you aren't registered and you'll get sorted out.

It could work :rolling:

Well its a great plan apart from one flaw...

Staying with you in Durham would mean I need to...go to Durham.

I don't know if I'm going to uni next year, but I still need to apply toherwise it will cost more if I do it when I'm a year older.

Please explain what UCAS means and what tarriff points are...your college admittance system must be different from Americas...

UCAS is the University and College Admission Service. Tariff points are the amount of points you need in total to get the place offered to you. They translate into grades:

A: 120
B: 100
C: 80
D: 60
E: 40

N.B. these numbers are for full (A2) A-Level (that's the level of study at 18, in England) passes, not AS levels (to add more confusion).

AS levels are basically half of a full A-Level, so you can take a subject for a year and still end up with a grade, but it will be worth half the points.

No course could possibly beat mine: Computer and Video Games at Salford. :D And no, it's not a mickey mouse course, I'm actually learning quite a lot about the industry. :)

My sister got 98.5 and goes some uni...... :upstare: ......
good work

So your "backup" university in lincoln? Since 220 isnt too hard to get and all the rest of your are ABB-AAB?

Anyway since badgy has made this into a show off your university offers thread :P, ill post mine.
Ive had 4 offers and one decline so far:

>Canterbury (my cant fail choice piss easy to get into uni)
>Aberwysth - cant even spell it yet, bloody welsh people 300 points and a C at geography. Decent university one of the best for geography.

>Coventry, also a good uni for geography but only need 220 to get (with minimum 140) too easy tbh.

>Southampton turned me down but there was no way I was going to get 3 Bs that was needed

>Leeds will probably turn me down but I cant get 3 Bs anyway

>Plymouth hopefully will accept me, they have a reasonable acceptance score

I got AAC when I did my a-levels.

I chose to do Physics too.

Eurgh stupid choice. Nearly finished now, hopefully I get a good degree.
That slightly depends on my really hard exam tomorrow :x

pr0nking sussex uni comp sci and AI is my second choice uni :D

Might see you there :)

We were told that we had to get our forms in by November, but the Real UCAS deadline is something like Feburary. The earlier the better, apparently: some universities may not give you an offer because they've already given out too many.
