Team confusion bug

I was on Gulf of Oman (which is one of my fav maps, even with the full version) when I saw a teamate with his name in red. I knew it was a teamate, I came up to him and he had a nice, arabic mustache and a brown uniform. Plus, he wasn't shooting at me, but at an obviously American sniper a bit ahead. When he killed him, it sayed he "teamkilled" him.

Has anyone encountered this?

Yeah...apparently it happened to me and the HL2.NET squad almost tor me up with an APC. Scared them...but scared me even more!

Was pretty cool, but definately not a good bug.

yep, happened to Glirk on Kubra Dam... same deal, he shows up as being on the opposing team (when you press tab) we couldn't invite him to our squad etc.

weirdness, doesn't happen often, in about 60 hours of BF2 (including demo that is) I have seen this happen twice.

once with Glirk, and once with a guy who's name was... AIMsomethingorother heh I forget. anyway he was on our carrier in the demo, shooting my blackhawk with the anti-air chaingun, but he showed up as blue even though he was on the opposing team, I checked multiple times before he took me out with the help of Ritz' AT missile.

they thought they were so sneaky, damn bug.. how was I supposed to know?
