so I just tried tdm vs doing the regular dm and I really think it works much better in terms of gameplay than regular dm...it's not as hectic, you have more time to think before being bombarded by toilets,etc and the maps work better because of their size...if any of you haven't tried it yet, I'd strongly suggest you give it a shot...it may help the "non-believers" appreciate the game more...
it's a much more enjoyable experience...

well deathmatch is supposed to be hectic and crazy and you are supposed to get killed by a toilet right as you spawn. its not deathmatch if you dont get killed the second after you spawn.

well...I personally think deathmatch is a dying artform...it's on it's last breath if you ask me...team dm, ctf, assault, tactical dm; those are all fine...with the advent of so many new forms of multiplayer, dm just seems a little...tired...

Well it is something like this, i tryed last night hl2 dm and tdm, dm is always dm you improve alot playing by yourself against the world, and tdm well i really think that troopers skins r0cks.. its also good especially for clas that will for sure use the TDM mod to play... one thing i didnt like it was playing dm and 10 guys with rocket launchers...that is so noob... using the rocket for a long distance or in last resource... its ok ... but using all the time face to face... should the servers deactivate rocket launcher?

It's a matter of opinion, really. I agree that there is a ton of potential overall.

I did have a ton of fun playing team DM on overwatch. It became a battle for the top floor, and control went back and forth. Whoever held the top got the rocket launcher and could control the only path up, but could still be "sniped" with the revolver, grenaded, or blown up with a barrel. The hallway to the roof was also jammed with a ton of debris, a ton of cabinets, and someone even managed to plug the hallway with a car.

the .356 comes close to ruining the experience...that, and the lag.

I came up behind a guy with the revolver who was sniping people on the other side of the board...I unloaded an entire clip of SMP into the back of his head before he realized he was being shot from behind, he stood up, turned around, and shot me once in the torso with the revolver, and I lost all 100 of my health points.

Then a little while later, I threw a folding chair at someone from 100+ feet, and he crumpled.

yeah, some tweaking is in order, i think.

maybe a little tweaking... but i think its pretty good now accually, 8 shots to the head kills, or 16 body shots (which is kinda rediculous i guess but still) with smg, maybe he had full armor.

i think it should take maybe 4-5 headshots and 10 body shots, samw with pistol
