My cousin just reminded me about this collection, saying its coming out next week. Is that an official date, or just a made up one by retailers? I don't recall hearing anything about it for awhile, so im suspicious. Also, do you guys think it will sell out fast, or can I just go out leisurely on release day and buy it from Best Buy (Got me a $10 off coupon from there)?

I think there will be enough supply for you to go on release day, which yes, should be next week. I am pretty pumped for it too. It's been getting terrific compliments across the board. I can't wait to pick it up. The only downside is Dark Souls releasing the following week. Not that bad a downside really I suppose. :)

I have it on pre-order, really hyped since I never played these titles on the PS2.

One negative thing though is the fact that they only run at 30 FPS, apparently something to do with the support for 3D modes.

Hyped as hell regardless though.

As long as its a steady 30, I couldn't give less of a ****. I've never been one to be able to tell the difference between a steady 30 and a steady 60 really. Especially not while actually playing anything.

I have so many games to play I'm going to hold off buying it until I hit a gaming dry spell.

To each his own I guess, but I can clearly tell the difference between a stable 30 and a stable 60.

Locking the gameplay at 30FPS was a stylistic choice by Ueda, apparently. Not a technical one. Playing SOTC at 60FPS would be a bit weird tbh. The slow framerate of the original almost added to the dreamlike quality of it imo.

As long as you don't mean the parts when it dropped to like 5-6 fps as slow. :p

30 fps for SotC will be an effing dream come true. I can't wait to get lost in those worlds again.
