How do you all feel about a possible teamspeak server for the purpose of having multiple squad coordination with each other, for HL2.net squads?

Unless you guys only like the in game voice communication, I was thinking that it would be good if we could have a way to all communicate when in a server, instead of some people feeling left out having to be in a secondary squad. I think it'd be neat allowing two squad leaders to coordinate their movements, and stick together... providing an even more fiercesome force for the enemy, than just a single 6 man squad, without relying on the commander to relay the orders.

Plus, it'd give everybody the chance to joke around with each other if they wanted to, during times of quiet, or cool moments.

I'd like that, but I know some Vent fan boys'll raise a fuss (Ennui). Sounds good to me... I was actually going to raise the question next time we played.

:(

The in-game is all we need, the squad leaders can help coordinate with other squads

Mr.Redundant said that squad leaders CAN NOT coordinate with other squads, as it goes from squad to commander... and commander can give orders to the squad.

yeah but before you started playing with us Raz, I had that TS idea, I picked an empty one and left the IP in my status, we got tons of people in it, we couldn't tell who was talking, it was a mess.

perhaps if it was a lot more regulated, but otherwise it kills the best aspect of BF2, the squad teamwork.

You could at least have the squad leaders in teamspeak.

Squad leaders can talk to the commander, and if people got organized enough that could work the same.

I wish the commander channel would be a bit different. The commander could could broadcast to all squad leaders and the squad leaders would broadcast to all other squad leaders and the commander with the command channel. This way the commander would have a better idea of what exactly squads are doing out there and how he could help. Then you could have more direct communication between squads and feel like a part of a big team.

Agreed. Maybe with enough whining from the community, they'll change it.

Good idea.

The squad leaders can talk to their squad in-game, and use a different key to talk to the other squad leaders.
