hi folks
well, this isnt a problem that is preventing me from playing but its rather annoying to me...
when I first installed HL2 i, as I was made to, let STEAM update my version of the game. Then I took my PC with me to the barracks where I unfortunately don't have any internet access.
First thing was that STEAM wouldn't let me start HL2 'cause of "This game cannot be run in offline mode".
By tinkering a bit with the link on my desktop and using a different executable (HL2.exe instead of \...\STEAM.exe -run app220 or something like that) I made the game run, but still there are some rather annoying bugs I am suffering from... some things I just would like to see go away:
1) My crossair and my weapon's graphics in the HUD and on the right side (when I pic up weapons or ammo) are replaced by letters...
2) the colt-skin seems rather undone cause the modell is mainly a grey chunk in form of a colt without any lines or colors on it... well its striped in grey and pink, so you can't say that there aren't any colors on it... well you know what I mean...
so if anybody could help me, would be cool... and please dont tell me I have to wait until I am home again and can connect to the internet again... PLEASSSE =(((
