Temperature?

hmm I think 60 is the highest safe temp. but I'm not an Intel person, best wait till someone who is in teh know can comment on it.
 
I believe your CPU will underclock itself somewhere around 70C.
 
I believe your computer will reboot if you reach 70C.

30C-40C Very Good
40C-50C Good
50C-57C Hot
57C-65C Too Hot
65C and higher, somebody wants scramble eggs on the CPU?
 
if it gets up past 60c i wouldnt even turn it on until you get beter cooling
 
Current Pentium 4's underclock at around 70C (Prescott versions). It will still be up and running until it hits somewhere around 74-75C and it will auto turn off. But the underclocking will lower the temp before it hits 74C...and the performance.

oh really? mine spiked near 100C one time and scared the bejeezus outta me, thankfully it still worked afterwards
my P4 3.4 runs between 58-70 normally and functions fine
