Anyone like tennis? I watched Wimbledon tennis from 9 in the am to 3 in the afternoon yesterday. It's given me the itch to play a bit

Like with all sports, playing it is probably really fun (actually never played any tennis) but watching it is like torture for me.

Indeed. I love playing tennis, but watching Wimbledon is horrible. Especially grunting.
"ARGHHH!"
"URRRRGH!"
"ARGHHH!"
"URGGGH"

Its unnecessary.

Not to mention female tennis players can be quite gross:

Ugh. Just look at her shoulders and arms.

Take away the face, could you still guess its gender?

I always watch Wimbledon since that's the only one that gets shown here.

The only people that don't like it are the uber-geeks that don't like any sports because you have to move. :smoking:

I have a passion for tennis even though I don't play it. Tried to watch Wimbeldon but been too busy. My favourite sport though.

tennis is fun when ur drunk on a hot summer day, and then go swimming

Oh god, Venus won again. HOW? WHY? DEAR GOD I DONT EVEN THINK SHES HUMAN.

My lifes fortune on Federer to win tomorrow. I dont care what they say, an off day for him is still 100 times better than anything nadal can to come up with on grass.

I like Nadal. Federer has won countless time against him, but I still think Nadal can pull thru. Federer did look amazing against the Frenchman today though.

I love tennis. I love playing tennis even though I suck pretty bad. I wish i had someone who could teach me how to play better.

I've been watching Wimbledon, but i'm not much of a fan of grass courts. I like the hard courts of the US Open more. It seems the games are faster and more exciting on hard courts.

When I watch tennis, I just close my eyes and unzip my jeans.

I used to play badminton...a far more demanding sport, to be fair. ;)
These days I'm not very fit and even a 10 minute game destroys me...don't have much of an urge to play really, so I can't be arsed.

Yea, Mauresmo is a man, and the Williams sisters are beasts, but the rest of them aren't too bad really. I get uncomfortable watching Serena Williams, though. She's such a god damn monster it's absolutely retarded. :|

I prefere men's tennis anyways. Federer is a god

I played tennis in high school. It was quite fun, and I certainly enjoy seeing a good, pitched match. Seriously though, it's been years since I've watched (longer since I've played).

I like tennis because it's the only sport I can actually play (although I don't serve properly!) I don't like watching it on TV though.

Watching the finals today was really good. I love tennis in theory but watching it holds no interest for me usually (except Prince of Tennis :p), and I don't get to play it often because I'm in the suckiest part of Wales ever for that kind of thing.

Anyway Federer won for the 5th time in a row. Even at the end he managed like 5 aces in a row, which goes to show he's really got it down. Some of his shots were really awesome.

If I could get together with my friends and play either tennis or badminton or something, it'd be awesome.
