The question is, can the win of Bale outweigh the fail of McG?

Ever since I saw the first terminator, I've wanted to see a movie based on the war. I ****ING WANT THIS.


Even if it sucks, I'll love it.

Now that CGI looked cool. That whole everything is black/metal, 80's feel to it will never come back. Now it's all white and plastic with better comp=shitty CGI.
 
T1 and 2 were epic, T3 was alright I guess, tbh I saw the title and thought 'oh god not another one' but then saw Christian Bale's name, I have yet to see a film he is in that isnt awsome so his mere presence could make this good, but we will see, its a dieing franchise.

Agreed. That little bit is what I would demand of a terminator movie set during the war, and it needs to look that good. Which you think would be unnecessary to ask of movies made fifteen (is that right?) years later, but fact is there's alot of new CGI that looks alot worse than that sequence.

Terminator 3 was utter shite. This, too, looks to be completely awful.

Also, Terminator 1 was far better than Terminator 2. Suck it. You think otherwise? You're wrong.

Looks like it'll be the Terminator movie everyone is expecting, lots of explosions, minor plot points, and overall shit summer action movie

T2 is all you need, leave it at that
 
Honestly, it didn't really show much. At least not enough for me to make a judgment.

Charlie's Angels were both fun popcorn flicks, so I'm not at all phased that the same guy is doing this.

normally i would strongly disagree with this statement.......but saddly....**** YEAH, i want some ****ing robot vs human action!!! bring it on bitchez!! :sniper:


oh and i just went trough T3 once more....i forced myself to like it. it is quite a poor adaptation of the second, but when you're hungry for sci-fi you don't complain. probably the best and most original part of the movie was the last quarter (at the skynet facility). everything else was just...meh
 
T3 isn't that bad, I don't care what people say. Sure, it's nothing spectacular, but it's not horrible.
 
I have no faith in this movie at all. I love Terminator, and I even liked T3, but gah...McG is an utter hack and Christian Bale may be a damn fine actor, but he can't save this piece of bare pimple ass.
 
CGI was overdone on the Portal in T3, they should of stuck with the one in T2.

And the T2 was way better in terms of grit and action, in T3 the action was done for the sake of it
 
Christian Bale makes everything 100% win. This is going to be insane. T3 was meh, 1 and 2 where classics.
 
If Christian Bale is a terminator then this movie may suck.

Simply because is acting talent be wasted.

Yet I always thought he would make a good terminator regardless.

It's hard to picture this movie being great right now...

But I think it has the potential to be as entertaining and fun as starship troopers in that action sense.
 
Also bear in mind that the creators have completely ditched the events of T3 by playing with the timeline (isn't time travel a wonderful plot device?), and that can only be a Good Thing.

i hate time travel...it just destroys the tiny bit of realism in a sci fi movie. especially time travel to the past.

seriously...anyone who can master time travel, would have no problem disposing of the human "pests". in a fully fledged war with robots, we'd be totally wiped out in less than a day.

The writers? Shit. Director? Shit.

Well folks, we can expect one hell of a shit-fest here. After this one, they need to completely erase T3 and T4 storyline and do a proper revival in much the same way as Batman Begins.
 
as far as I am concerned there is only 2 movies of terminator

people say there is another one and other one is coming,but those are myths for me
 
This is going to be about the beginning of the war with the machines, seriously people... pretty hard to f*ck that up.
