Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles

A theory from IDMB about the end, which kind of makes sense:-

The John Connor we've been hearing about throughout the series ("future John") is/was actually the same John that jumped ahead with Catherine. That's why no one has ever seen him aside from Cameron. The Resistance would probably go nuts knowing a teenager is leading them. It's kind of like the paradoxes we've all had throughout the movies, only in reverse. The John that jumped ahead is the same one that sends both Cameron and Derek back. Obviously the girl we know as Cameron was still Allison at the end, but John will end up having a relationship with her (because he was so close to her as Cameron, part of the paradox). When she gets captured by the machines, he ends up reprogramming her and sending her back (part of the paradox). He gets to know Derek and eventually sends Kyle back so he can actually exist. Then he sends Derek back.

But considering that's what may have been the original story, and the way things have always been altered, it could turn out differently (like Allison not getting caught).

Talk about lazy writing. They think if they end this "season" with a cliffhanger they might get another one.
I was starting to like the show then this comes along.
This episode was just purely insulting to me. Anybody that thinks that this is going to get another season is delusional. They should have ended the series properly.
James Cameron should have bought the rights to the damn thing and never let anybody else touch it ever again.

The rights were his. He sold them, he pretty much doesn't give a shit about the Terminator franchise anymore, even dough he created the story and characters...

The season finale was amazing! I just hope it won't be a series finale! there are too many questions to let the show go now! Visit the Wiki. there we are taking action to help get us a season 3.

Nice site... My firewall gives me a virus warning on every ****ing page!

Interesting ending. That Derek reappeared made up for the rather casual manner in which they offed him in the present. I wouldn't be adverse to a further season myself, though whether Fox will be up for it is another matter.

Hmmm. odd. cause I have never had any problems with the site. It does use some cookies though. I use Firefox with Script blocker the the TSCC wiki is on my 'trusted site' list. maybe your firewall is a little too sensitive?

well, finally Fox managed to cancel TSCC. Very well done! And thanks for renewing that Dollhouse crap :dozey:

Seriously now, I liked the show, it hat a rough start (just like Fringe) but got better as it moved along. Would have loved to see a third season.

Remember Jericho? Even that got a shortened 2nd season after being already cancelled. Maybe this can be pulled off again with Terminator (another channel maybe?)

Brilliant, end the second season on a cliffhanger like that when they must have known that they were not doing a second season. Knobs.

You are comparing this crap to Fringe? This was bound to be canceled half way through the 2nd season. No other network is going to pick it up. Warner Bros. has already abandoned it.
Good riddance.

Some of us were actually enjoying it.

No, I'm not comparing it, I was trying to say that Fringe had a weak start, the first couple of episodes were pretty meh ...

thats what they had in common

Dollhouse is superior to TSCC, easily.

This.

Shame about T:TSCC, but despite a fairly good cast it was unfortunately all over the place. Here is hoping that Garret Dillahunt finds himself a decent role somewhere as he's a good actor. Maybe they can fit Summer Glau into Dollhouse somehow. I'd like that ;)

Summer could be a great Big Bad or Assistant Big Bad much as Nathan, Gina and "Alpha" have done in the past.

He was the only good thing about the show. Great character actor but very underrated.
Most of his roles consist of bad guys and rednecks even though his acting range is much broader. I'd get a new agent if i were him.

According to imdb he has 3 films in post-production, I think he'll land on his feet.

Here's hoping they take it to Scifi or elsewhere. Great show that needs another season.
I have low expectations for Fox so I really am not surprised at all.

WB tried and no one wanted it apparently.

I just saw it in the info on the right. I'm totally getting the movie now too :)

I don't.
A TV movie for a Terminator TV show which is based off of the movies???

Come on.

Agreed, not going to happen.

I really gotta catch up on this show, though!

I smell TV movie on the horizon to be honest.

Well if there is at least we can rest assured that you'll create a thread posting a link to the trailer and no other information.

Since when was it on the WB?

The show is made by Warner Brothers not Fox. Fox merely pay to broadcast it (unlike Dollhouse which they do produce). Fox declined a third season so Warner brothers offered it around to other broadcasters but apparently no one wanted to pick it up.

This makes me sad. The cliffhanger seemed like it would have set up the third season really nicely and make it much better than the previous two.

It all comes down to the financial Krynn. The way the shows left it, the they'd have had to do future stuff (which would of been costly) as well as present day stuff. Which would of been a bit of an ass and certainly expensive, and right now ill-advised in the present financial climate.

While it's just a rumor, it's said Scifi is interested in renewing a 3rd season. Tou can try emailing feedback@scifi [DOT] com and tell them you're interested in seeing it come to their network.
