TES IV:Oblivion new screeshots

Wow, awesome. Especially that forest scene. And theres nice bumb mapping in the dungeon looking area. Awesome graphics for an rpg. Heh, how the hell anyones computer is gonna handle being outside in that game...I don't know.

Almost 100% sure that game uses the Unreal 3.0 engine. I believe i read it somewhere.

No it dosn't. Uses and in-house engine.

Definately not. I am certain it uses the next generation of Morrowind's engine.

Can't wait :|

Am I the only one who sees the huge blur making an average game looks alright??

Yes. Full screen blur is something that is missing in modern games. When implemented properly, it makes a harsh game world seem less harsh. Sure it seems a bit over the top, but I bet they will turn it down before they ship Oblivion. Even without the blur Oblivion is still on of the best looking game coming to us in the future.

If you are talking about Oblivion being just an "average" game. There is no help for you. Frankly, the Elder Scroll Series is how a RPG is supposed to be. It is wide open without forcing you down a narrow line. In Morrowind, I spent countless hours just collected the games flowers and herbs. Then I spent hours buying decorative stuff for my room. Finally I spent hours trying to hunt down that last piece of glass armor I was missing to complete my collection. If that doesn't make a great RPG, I don't what will. Oblivion is my number one most anticipated game.

I need to find a good Oblivion forum to learn more about the game.

Nice, I wonder if it uses subsurface scattering for the skins, it looks like it. The HDR makes the skins look nice too.
