The 21-year-old North Texas man was arrested last week for trying to cash a $360 billion check, saying he wanted to start a record business, authorities said. Tellers at the Fort Worth bank were immediately suspicious ? perhaps the 10 zeros on a personal check tipped them off, according to investigators.

Fuller, of suburban Crowley, was arrested on a forgery charge, police said. He was released after posting $3,750 bail.

Fuller said his girlfriend's mother gave him the check to start a record business, but bank employees who contacted the account's owner said the woman told them she did not give him permission to take or cash the check, according to police.

In addition to forgery, Fuller was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and possessing marijuana, Fort Worth police Lt. Paul Henderson said.

Officers reported finding less than 2 ounces of marijuana and a .25-caliber handgun and magazine in his pockets, police said.

Wow, just wow... couldn't he have added a few more zeros while he were at it?

A little optimistic perhaps?

did he really not see this as an outcome?

Checks don't seem like the customary way to handle transactions in the hundreds of billions. Also, a record company? You could buy a pretty substantial nation with that, how much money does a record company cost? According to the statement, she had written the check, but just didn't give them permission to use/take it. What else would she do with a check like that?

360 billion? He could buy like, three years of the iraq war with that, lol.

I read it that way too for some reason. I had to read it again.

Fuller is the criminal who took a blank check and filled it out and told the bank that she gave it to him, but she didn't.

i still dont understand why it didn't go through.:LOL:

I love how he also had a gun and marijuana on him lmfao. The whole thing was perfect really... Americans do stupid shit, but they do it with dignity (unlike another similar country *pyjama uniforms for Beijing anyone?*).

What a boring idea for a thread, stupid thread idea tbh. Probably should be closed tbh.

tbh i disagree. tbh lots of political threads should be closed.

tbh, I was just saying that out of sarcasm because I accidentally posted the same thread, and so it was closed tbh.

That still makes it sound like she wrote the check and he just took it without her permission. I mean, its pretty obvious she didnt write it, and he forged it, but the article is worded in a way that makes it sound like she wrote a check for 360 billion, but just didnt give him permission to cash or even take the check.
