I keep getting weird textures. (like the ones from the attachments)

Can anyone help me?

What is your graphics card? an ATi? If so then it due to a bug in the drivers (in most cases) you need to install the 4.12 beta drivers, with Catalyst Control Center, and use CCC to disable a function called AI, which you can find in the advanced section.. Should fix the problem, assuming your card is a Radeon

ive had this prob too, 4.12b or disabling ai didnt helped much.

try the drivers from dna, the one based on the 4.11cat has fixed this problem.

remember to not uninstall your radeon-drivers before dna-installation, otherwise it wont find your vga.

Darth Valium, is you card a 9X series radeon or an X6/8 series, disabling AI only works on the 9x series..

Ok. I got the DNA driver thing.. Then I get this error that says "Unable to init shader system". What should I do now?

try the 4.11 Catalysts and disable AI using CCC, assuming your card is a 9x00 series Radeon..

I tried the Catalyst drivers, it still gives me the same error. (My card is a 9200 series Radeon)

thats cool, CCC is Catalyst Control Centre, its actually a shit piece of software, but its the only tool (i know off) that can turn A.I off in the ATi drivers. Its best to do it with the 4.12Beta drivers, but i run the 4.11's with A.I off, and my grahpics are all fixed..
http://www2.ati.com/drivers/wxp-w2k-ccc-8-071-041026a-018719c-english.exe <-- is the drivers you should try, as they have CCC as well, oh and you need to install .Net Framework onto your PC for CCC to work..
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en <-- link to .Net framework

The CCC installer gives me an error that says "Proper ATI Hardware not detected. This installation cannot be completed."

..Augh.

and still won't let you install CCC?, make sure .Net Framework is installed

I turned off the AI thing and the texture color-shifting/artifacts thing went away... actually I played for so long that I thought it fixed the entire game for me, yet after about an hour (complete guess) it froze up again. Just thought I'd post so people know it works.

@Phirax:
ive got a 9600xt; disabling ai didn't worked(done this trough regedit, 'cause i dont like the ccc, perhaps ive done something wrong, but cant imagine this though), the dna did.

perhaps DNA drivers have AI off by default?.. anyway whatever works for you :p

Do a search on '9200'. This seems to be a problem with these cards.
