Valve commonly says that the game supports 24 players total on PC.
WTF, only 24 players? I'm not buying it now.

Every Steam group I'm in has a full chatroom, excluding Facepunch (which I am banned from). I'm finding myself refreshing this thread every 10 seconds. I just can't wait! :bounce:
you kidding right? I think the maps are small, you'll see as much action as you would on a huge battlefield 2 map with 64 people, it's just condensed in tf. I hope at least. The new quake is only 32 players.
I just heard from a reliable source that the beta will be unlocked at 6pm (19 minutes from now)

Well, its not much, but Ill bite...
I'd stop refreshing this page and do my homework, but, you know, my cat is sleeping on the backpack, and moving him would be mortal sin.
More proof that tf2 is vapourware.
Guys - the Win32 nor the Linux ded server binaries have been made available yet.
So if it's released in 3 minutes, it means Valve expect users to host games, or there isn't going to be any servers.
The other alternative is that they release the binaries with the client unlock, but this would mean no servers until admins have time to launch them...
I have a feeling it's just not going to happen.
Give it another few hours.
