TF2 video

Wow thanks!
Awsome video, I really do like the art style..!
Edit: First reply w00t!xD

Though there wasn't real gameplay footage , it looks awesome. Love the style.

lol posts are being deleted over at the steam forums

Video was kinda meh, 1960s cartoon feel.

Not a demo of gameplay, but you got to see them move - it kicked ass!

Personally I loved it, it's got an evil genius / incredibles feel to it lol.

I was a bit iffy about the cartoony style to begin with, but it's definitely grown on me. Personally, I think the Pyro looks the best. :D

I hope that flame work on the pyro is in game it looks pretty damn hot (pun intended)

Has anyone else noticed what map they're on.....it's 2FORT!!

WOOOT WOOOT....

No miniature soldiers...but that doesn't kill the fun...(Maybe if the mooding goes well I'll make a miniature-soldiers map)

But It look so cool...and new...The characters are great...Animations are superb. Humor is defenitly getting attention lately in Valve HQ.

SuperB A must see....
This is why Valve will remain the best game-develloper in many years to come.
They keep trying new things...

Congratulations to Valve for another amazing concept...I have no doubt TF2 will be worth the wait...

guess you are right about the 2fort bit, certainly the bridge and the two entrances + snipers nest give it away. The scout and spy parts weren't obvous to start with but they definitely resemeble the bottom area near the flag

Downloads !!!!

edit : slow as hell ! 1.0KB !
someone upload it to yousendit pleaseeeee !

Pretty awesome. The lightning's great. The spy looks kind of like Zidane :P The pyro's flame is awesome; I hope that same effect is in-game.

I like the style. Never played/saw Team Fortress but I will check this one out. Lol at the medic rubber gloves scene:D

Great teaser, thought we would get Episode 2 footage today tho.

Looking superb, love the Medic's rubber gloves :D

I still wonder if the motion blur/DoF is actually possible in game or if it's just a post process effect.

And LOL @ the Soldier's introduction.

Oh, crap! Thanks clarky!

It's AWESOME! Important question: is it real-time Source engine?!

come on !
someone upload it to yousendit, i cant wait its killing me :(

Thanks.

slow? I'm going at 650 kb/s!!!

So is the gameplay video coming out later?

that's the one they announced to be released this week? or just a teaser?

Also lol @ the Medic putting the glove on.

but hearing the music just amplifies the "The Incrediblesness" of the game.

whoa. I posted this on steampowered and the admins deleted it in SECONDS!

Downloading...rofl its slow...about to watch...sweet. As mentioned, it looks odd, but has grown on me. Coupled with the new Portal trailer, I'm really looking forward to Epi Two. Glad VALVe haven't forgotten TF2.

that looks great ...good to see valve finally show some sense of humour

I'd be totally impressed if this was in-game footage. Now I'm just, impressed.

And if the map is 2fort, what on earth is that engineer standing on ?

I loved that video. Very incredibles lol
Need...more...media! :E

Pretty impressive. The way the spy slinks around, it's so fluid. I can't believe this is the Source engine. Valve's done an impressive thing here. I am significantly more accepting (and one might even say hyped up) of this now. The shading, the animation, the pyro's flames, and the chance that the soldier might come with a shovel for melee...this might turn out awesome.

But this wasn't in-game footage...a lot of this stuff is probably in the game, but I wouldn't take this video as what we are going to see 100% come time to play the game.

It's definitely rendered by the engine. It's not gameplay footage however.

It's the Source engine though. That was confirmed when someone asked if the promo picture was taken in-game or if it was a render. It's the engine, and even if it's not exactly what we see, it's mighty impressive anyway. It's Source's capability that I'm awed by.
