This is an "official communitty thanks to Munro" for making this a great community.

The recent debuts of 2 new forums have confirmed my expectations that this is THE forums. All the mod professionalism, Munro's watching what the community wants with all the changes, and of course, all the bans that keep the community clean (sometimes its necessary....)

I have yet resisted to the temptation to click the Spoiler forums, but I find it a big temptation. I really think that should have waited until HL2 comes out, but its done now.

So anyway - THANKS MUNRO!!!

You completely forgot about Pistol who sorted out the hosting didn't he, or did he i dunno now lol. Along with a number of other staff who've done a lot for the sites, both past and present.

i'm f*ing freezing at the mo, so i'll keep it short

I'm really glad i joined the community when i did. I saw some HL2 screenshots and i thought wooo i've got to join something while it is still young! After a bit of trawling through teh googlie and susbsequent sites, HL2.net showed up as a fan site. I came on here, thought the forums looked very nice (compared to some other ones......) so i enrolled. I was relucatant to make my first post, i was scared of what people might type. But i did post, and continued to.

When i came here, i had very little education on the inter-web super autobahn, various programmes, what crazy stuff was going on in the world (thanks nerdguy & co ), computer hardware, modding etc. but after spending almost a year on here i think i have definately learnt something, and i feel like part of the community now and it's a nice feeling to have

Thanks to everyone who started the site, kept it going and continue to keep it running. It really is a very nice place to visit every day
