For the first time in nearly a year, I logged out of halflife2.net.
As I clicked - for the first time - 'Log Out' it gave me a warning message, and all of halflife2.net was black and white and I was like

WOOOAHHHHHH!!!

I think most of us don't even know where the log out button is...

You've changed your mutha ***** name D:

Yer - when I logged out, I kinda took our Lord Munners' name in vain - kept on logging in with "evilsloth" not "sloth" and not knowing why the password didn't work!

Just to check, it is normal to get automatically logged out every few minutes, right? I often have to re-type my username and password when I submit a post.

Sounds like you don't have cookies enabled, Godron. Either that or you're not ticking "remember me".

Thus, HL2.net's cookies are crap. I knew it.

I actually couldn't find the log off button when I was gonna see if this rumored "black and white screen" was real. And it is.

I thought there might be a cookie problem when I first tried using the edit button (it tells me to log in and won't let me edit). That's why I turned cookie blocker down to low on Internet Options/Privacy. Still doesn't work. I never knew about this "Remember Me" thing though, I though it was something to do with passwords and auto-complete, so I left it alone... this could be embaressing.

I only have to log in a few times a year usually, cookies are fine

Last time I logged in was when I was on holiday.

Click "Log Out" in the top left.

Fancy black and white (with a brown tint) effect.

The only logout button I see is on the top right, and it only logs me out, nothing special.

Neat, but it only seems to work in IE for me...couldn't see it in firefox :(

Oh, I was using IE when it happened. Now Im using Firefox, it is no longer there.

Fail.

I don't think I've ever clicked the log out botton in all the time I've been here.

You mean... We can get out of here?!

/me runs to logout button
/me runs into invisible wall

...

/me cries
