The $20,000 will be the price tag for the v6 version. The GT will probably run you around $28,000, similar to the current models.JonTheCanuck said:Under $20, 000 with 300 hp is a definate plus in my side. Now i g2 figure out if i like it more than the impreza wrx sti.

the Cobras, will be out in '06. There isn't much public word on when the Bullet or the Machs will hit the market, or if the will hit.
My roomate is a Ford Sales manager
Oh btw its nice to see somebody else thats into cars on here. I've got an '02 Firehawk
A lot of the the imports are way over hyped thanks to the media and video games. In reality most imports are 'slow' when it comes to racing in the 1/4 or 1/8 mile. The fastest I've ever seen a heavly moded wrx(cam, turbo, boost controller, etc) was 8.2 in 1/8 at the track I worked at. I run an 8.4 stock, add heads, cam, headers and I'm easily into the low 7's, or some nitrous but I prefer constant HP.

The price will start at 20K but after all the taxes and dealer fees it will probably be around 25 - 28K. This is what I found out at the local dealer anyway, if you ever buy a car try to avoid New Mexico.
The 1/4 mile is the problem with the WRX and is one of the reasons I wouldn't touch it. I have a friend that has a 03 WRX with nothing major on it, only a turbo timer, I think, which doesn't do anything for performance. He beat me in a street race where we got to about 70; however, I beat him by about 2 car lenghts in the 1/4 mile. I haven't raced him from a roll yet so I will have to see how that works out. I also know many that will set their turbo at 18 psi and beat everyone they race, I am waiting to see the engine blow on those which happened to a friend who had an 91 MR2 that was running at 19 PSI without any eninge upgrades.
