The Amazing Screw-On Head

Love Mignola's art direction. Probably my favourite comic illustrator out there at the moment. This was a great animation - wish the Hellboy animated series was kept under Mignola's supervision and control.

Didn't know there was an animation of this, I thought it was just a GN.

Edit: Also, Fast Zombie audio clip at 1:06 of first video.

That was quite entertaining . Although it's quite apparent why it didn't make it, the art style and humour doesn't reach out to a wide audience.

Nope. It was a pilot for a possible series, but Scifi played it at a godawful hour that no one would watch it at and gave it little to no advertising.

Also, between Giamatti and David Hyde-Pierce the voice talent probably would have cost a fortune. I loved that it proved you could get the gist of Mignola's art in a moving form.

I remember accidently finding this at like 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning on Scifi, it was really cool I thought.

I remember watching it back when the Sci-Fi Channel was letting people vote on if they wanted it to be turned into a full-blown series. I was so disappointed when it lost.

That was ****ing weird. I liked it, I laughed, loved the visuals, but I don't think it had lasting potential.
