The begginings mind control and mind reading

This is just using chemicals to increase or decrease recall of memories. We've been doing this for hundreds of years; its called cocaine.

The beta-blockers they mentioned probably only inhibit the action of other neurochemicals neccisary for the formation of memory, so all the memories, even traumatic ones are more fuzzy.

The "brain fingerprinting" they were talking about is similar to what a polygraph does or voice stress analyzer does, but at a higher level. They hook you up to an ECG machine and then show you photos of the crime scene along with photos of other crime scenes and various other photos. If youve been to the crime scene then your brain will light up in recognition. It is involuntary. However, it does not read your mind. It can only tell if youve seen that crime scene or another one like it. It cannot tell what you were doing there, or when you were there, only that you have a memory of it. In addition, if you really dont recognize the crime scene, you wont react to it.

The ultrasonic speaker is just damn annoying.

None of this is mind control nor is any of it mind reading.

Also. I do realize you said "the beginnings of" but even thats incorrect, this is brain control, not mind control.

I said the "begginings" because it shows that agencies like the FBI really are putting a fair amount of effort into trying to get these technologies going, and also once these technologies become somewhat common they will be able to start taking further steps into technologies that work with the mind.

Wow, that speaker must be insanely anoying, JUST THINK how some people could abuse it.

Hypersonic, not ultrasonic. Hypersonic sound could be useful, though... It'd be good in a cinema, where the usher could yell at one specific person (Smoker or mobile chip packet rattler) to STFU without bothering the people sitting next to him/her...

A french lab can already "remote control" a person's mood with an implant (think a brain pacemaker) that electrifies the right areas to change your mood.

Actually the CIA was experimenting with mind control back in the 60's and 70's heavily. Research "MKULTRA", and "bluebird". They also used unknowing US citizens to test. It was mainly for brainwashing and developing superior techniques than the communists had.
