I just played Mark of Chaos for the first time, and hell I have never seen a better game intro!

Dawn Of War was just one of the coolest ever.

BUT...pretty much anything from Blizzard is still just...jaw dropping. You should check the Warcraft 3 intro, and dare i say it, WoW and the BC intros.

I must admit, the WoW intro was badass....The Starcraft and Broodwar ones still give me chills.

I love every CGI from Blizzard, but one that stands out is the outro of the human campaign in Warcraft 3, that music... woah.

I cant pick which I like more. The Dawn of War intro or the Mark of Chaos. The Dawn of War one is what made me decide to go to school for CGI, and the Mark of Chaos made me shit my pants.

The stuff by Blizzard is good, but I think it pales compared to these two.

Deus Ex had a good one, but it was more for the narrative than any cool cinematography.

forget it man, Another world is one of those things you had of been there to understand. Much like the original Prince of Persia, and Flashback, Another world was an amazing game.

watching that intro makes you remember how good it really was.

I think the beginning of Episode 1 was alot cooler than HL2's. Being at the foot of the destablized Citadel, the monitor scene, the reunion with Alyx, the warmth displayed through Dog and Alyx and then the car throw across the chasm...amazing scene. Definitely Valve's best work. The dialogue, the animations, the visuals...they all came together and really highlight the amount of effort Valve put into these scenes. It stomps all over the trainstation.

I agree Ep1 had a better intro that HL2. HL1, was notable too, of course.

I think Kingdom Hearts I & II, Final Fantasy XII, and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Infocom) all had good intros.

First off, great topic!

I liked the TV trailer for GOW. I have never played the game.

I remember very much liking the cinematics that Blizzard released for Diablo & Diablo 2.

My all time favorite trailer is for Onimusha 3. The PC game sucked horribly, but the trailer was.... wow...

I can't seem to find them, but there are a couple HD versions of the intro trailer that are IMHO, a must see. The trailer is approx 5 mins long. Amazing CG.

Oh, and the original Battlefield had one of the greatest intros I've ever seen. The music was great, and the montage of multiple situations and battles just got you pumped for the matches to come.
