Bah...They weren't that bad, they just died slowely...Sometimes even a shotgun blast wouldn't take the bugger out. But they were by no means scary ((Except when they used poison where you have 1 hp.))

You start off as a facehugger in the Alien section of the AvP games IIRC. Sounds pretty similar to this idea.

Heheh, could be pretty interesting.

Early levels you're a defenceless headcrab (similar to the run-like-hell parts of "Point Insertion" and "A Red Letter Day"), doing nothing but tottering around. Then you reach the airboat area, and find a convenient resistance member to latch onto.

Then you're a zombie! Presumably a normal variety- but for gameplay's sake you move significantly faster than your fellows. Primary weapon- claws, used, unsurprisingly, for slashing things up. Maybe you can pick up objects and splatter people with them...

Thing is, life as a zombie would be fairly dull. Maybe you end up picking a Combine soldier as a host, and get a few abnormal special abilities or something... meh.

They should put normal dogs in the game too. So you can turn into a headcrab dog.

*note: weird that there are headcrab dogs, but no normal dogs in HL2... hmmm....

That would be cool: you could choose what headcrab you want to be at the start of the game then attach onto people (or even cooler attach onto gordon freeman and become zombie freeman) then you can savagly attack people.

I recall that people kept thinking the fast zombies were dogs for a while... not entirely sure why.

It's the kind of SP mod that would end up a few short gimmick chapters... great fun, but nothing epic (otherwise it'd get stupidly boring).
