However they end it, you better be able to kill the G-Man at the end, or at least find out who or what he is, or they're going to blow it for alot of people.
 
Well, Im glad you did... the ending level is indeed different compared to most games w/c tends to end with a boss.

no, i hope not, because i believe that when we find out things about the g-man, thats when the half life series ends. he can remain a mystsery to me for as long as they want as long as the keep popping out half -life's
 
I think the G-man was put in the game to give it a mystery type guy, if he is some alien and hey just put him looking like an alien, its obbvious who he is.

I hope we get toled nothing in HL3, we should have to work it out for ourselves, and noods.
 
I think the gman should be reveled in the very end of hl4, with some long speech someone gives explaining everything, but honestly I dont even think vALVE has a clue as to who he is.

Yay w00t to Valve for making you feel like a pissed off, confused man! What a marvellous achievement! That's just what you want at the end of the game you've been waiting for for 5 years! It's a good technical achievement, but wouldn't it be slightly more enjoyable if they made you feel positive emotions, say victory, rejoicing or perhaps a little relief that all your efforts actually achieved something? No, you can't feel any of that because you don't know whats going on - you don't even know if Breen is dead, you don't know if the destruction of the Citadel is significant blow against the Combine, you don't know if your allies survived. So what have you achieved by playing through this game? DUNNO!

That's not good story telling. That's a waste of time. Just because Valve tried something different, something a little bit more sophisticated, doesn't automatically make it a better game.
 
what if through the series g-man is collecting people for a final blow against the combine: gordon freeman hl1, alyx vance hl2
