How ironic.

Wait.

You're also telling me the Oscar's are political!?

If Bush pushed the wrong red button on his desk, the US would just obliterate the world, and they'd be sat there going 'What was that noise?'.

Good old friendly fire.

I'd love to see what kind of WMDs the US has in secret bunkers 100s of ft underground in the deserts etc. I remember seeing a microwave gun prototype once.

ANOTHER JVERNE THREAD WITH A VAGUE, RELATIVELY POINTLESS "TOPIC".

Joy of joys.

How is it ironic? USA was on the brink of nuclear war. Everyone always knew Russia was weaker and more stupider. They are more stupider than retardeded peoples now. This thread is over.

:O you did not do what you just did?!

Thread not entirely over just yet. That graph is measured in counts, not yield. I'd personally like to see that one as well.

Wait, the evil muslim pakistan also did less nuclear weapon testing than the US?
My world has turned upside down!

Am I the only one seeing PRC at the top of the later graphs?

I don't get it, how could a Nation with so much power and money do so many nuclear tests?

Unbelievable.

I think i might be reading this graph wrong. The red parts above the Blue, does that mean it stands for the Blue+Red? Or does it just stand alone.

Yeah, it must be seperate, just on the same year. That confused em too, I was wondering if OP even looked at the graph.

Goddamn graphs.

it's called common sense...obviously the British didn't do more nuclear testing than the US:rolleyes:

if you're still in doubt it's the latter of what you suggested.

It was more probable for me to not have to subtract one over the other just to get a numerical value of how much testing.

Uhh... I'm sure everyone has already said... we were one of two superpowers. We happened to be the bigger, badder superpower and we were acting like it.

This is my shocked face: :|

While I've no idea on combined total, the largest nuclear detonation ever was definitely soviet. Tsar Bomba, 50 megatons- half of what it was initially designed to deliver because otherwise it was believed the plane wouldn't have time to get to safe distance. By comparison, the largest bomb the US ever detonated was a mere 15 megatons, and the largest they designed had a yield of 25.

picture how many lizards we killed with all these nuclear tests...

poor lizards :(

No, it just means you're an idiot, who posted a graph with the words "WAY more" in addition to your topic. Do you actually think before you post? I mean in all seriousness not one topic you've started in the last month has had some coherent, specifically-defined direction the discussion is aimed towards. All you do is post some piece of 'controversial' 'evidence' and then just sort of leave and see what happens. Everything you say gets progressively more meaningless.

tl;dr
Obvious Troll is obvious.

Well the percentage by each year is heavily on the side of the US. Less in later years, but at a some years it can reach almost 3 times more.

I agree the graph isn't that well made...with what seems like total number of testing on the left and having them stacked like that.

still...common sense.

That's awesome.

But you still haven't defined a particular reason for your starting the topic.:p

Might want to make that part of your considerations next time.

You know that saying "The more you know..."

Jverne I really cannot hold myself back now.

I keep starting to post this and then holding myself back, but no longer can a good man do nothing.

**** off. Every single one of your threads are boring as **** and meaningless.

Just look: http://www.halflife2.net/forums/search.php?searchid=1433820

Now I'm sure you're a nice guy and everything in real life, but I think you need to think before you post more often.

You're posts are as if you're just thinking out loud, alone, at a bus stop.

I don't talk out loud in real life, but i do generally want to spark debate for no apparent reason.

If that is wrong, ok then i'm sorry i will stop.

In real life if some person comes up to me and talks about how he likes water bottles, i really have no problem talking to him. Of course nobody does that, it has to be as a consequence of something happening but i don't really feel annoyed unless it's a topic i couldn't care about...like flowers.

I agree the graph isn't that well made...with what seems like total number of testing on the right and having them stacked like that.

still...common sense.

common sense.

Common sense points me in both directions, hence confusion. Regardless, Thank you for rectifying my view. Cheers!

Oh another of the jverne threads where he steps in, fills the jverne troll trof and leaves.

Step aside, I want a bite!

careful. what you're really saying here is that you're more interested in hearing what you have to say than what the other person has to say. so you're kinda misrepresenting yourself as the sensitive talk to anyone type when it may be more of a product of the desire to have an audience. it's kinda what Solaris was saying but in a round about not overly nice way

Might be so, but that my level of tolerance is higher. I don't really get easily irritated.
