Whats behind the mask, a Headcrab? a Human face?... if you find this to be stupid, delete this thread.
But i Think that the combine are clones, genetecly enhanced soldiers.... :rolling:

The combine are actually clones of Gordon, G-Man, and Adrien Shepherd(sp?)
 
Those masks are actually used in real life. They are a real type of gask mask which leads me to believe that they might be humans. If you dont believed me there is a movie in which you can see the mask. Ill look it up and find out. Its an oldie. Its about a virus that gets released and then the government tries to cover it up. I has sutherland in it. Not the son Not Keefer(sp?) his father.

I believe you, I've seen a picture. By the way, I love your avatar, Jesse Ventura in Predator! That movie is the best and I liked Jesse the best in that movie! :)

The gas masks are produced by Russia and other Slovic countries. If you ask me, they picked the perfect mask for the combine. It bears that faceless characteristic of the Half-Life 1 marines. I wonder what they'll use in Half-Life 3? It seems to be a trend to have faceless, gas mask wearing soldiers.

I saw a screenshot from the leak. If anyone has played Dark Forces 1, think dark trooper without the armour.

I think they are an entirely different alien race that crossed paths with Humans on Zen before HL1 shit occured and boom, they found out that we re-elected bush and came to destroy us all.

Well I read in a review (aim: ReviewScans) that..


They can't breathe air so they wear the mask. So they obviously aren't human.
 
According to the script that was shown on the raising the bar preview:
One day after the BMRF incident the citadel appeared out of nowhere. Alien? I sure think so. It probably got teleported somehow.
 
Okay well there not human...they came from another planet so either way they ain't human. There probably juust half n' half. And they conquer planets using up it's resources....and earth is on there list now.

The script and info in the raising the bar book is old, an old version of the game.
 
I have a dream that my four combine soldiers will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their mask, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

I think that they are a COMBINation of Alien and Human.

Look at Gordon's,Alyx and G-man eyes in concept art...all a weird bright greeny colour.

Stops them from being turned into this joint alieman with a special injection.

But hey thats just me and my mind.

Go on Google and type hl2 combine. Then look at Image Search. It should be the first image.
 
MetaKnight thanks, Ive seen that picture for a while now but never knew who it was, didnt even think it was from hl2, it was someones avatar. Personally that guy looks crazy!
 
I think that we wont find out who the combine or the G man are till HL6.

Yeah I've seen the guy your talking about, I saw it on some Russian site, forgot what its called. But that was the stolen build, who's to say the people who stole it didn't model the guy on their own

using the same search, go down 3 pictures and one across, there is a guy called the combine guard, its being viewed in XSI
 
well, if you do as metaknight suggests, you can cut out the last part of the url and get this

seriously tho, what it is, is a tons of screenshots. I dont know how many are actually new (just remember, if you aint seen it, its new to you) but from the looks of it, its all screencaptures from the binks and trailers we arlrdy seen.
