The FCC seems to want to make regular TV like a "family friendly show", forcing people to subscribe to cable to get anything above PG-13. But wait! it gets better!! they're also trying to get their claws into cable, satellite, radio, and the internet! (i don't know how that would work..) Will we only be able to utter the famous "George Carlin's 12 things you can't say on television"
The original seven words were, s*i*, p*s*, f*c*, *u*t, c*c*s*c*e*, m*t*e*f*c*e*, and t*t* (or, for the very liberal, ****, ****, ****, ****, **********, ************, and ****)

of course, they've got those stars too... compliments of the FCC. Apparently, I can say these in my own house, even record them on my answering machine... or could I record them on my answering machine? If a kid called my house.. would I be at fault? I mean, he called me, right? oh dear.. he might hear words that most everyone in any country says on a regular basis!

I for one, support free speech. All free speech. Even stuff I don't particularly like, mainly so I can speak my own mind as well, in case others don't like what I have to say. such as **** you. (page you.. or did i offend someone again?) :p :cheese:

Who cares, this generation swears more than any other.

Who cares, a word is a word. FCC should go kill themselves since obviously they have nothing better to do.

I hear that one particular complaint (one that influenced the latest massive fine) was in response to complaints recieved from 159 people. But, apparently, it was actually only 3 unique letters written. So. 1.x million dollar fine over the horribly offended sensibilities of three people. These ****ers are out of control.
