The sequel to the award winning Half-Life modification, The Gates, is coming to life. The guys are working hard on The Gates 2 and it is coming along nicely. They have released a media update containing a few exclusive WIP model renders and in-game screenshots. [br]

The original was quite nice - some good puzzles and nice environments. At the moment unfortunately this isn't looking up to scratch. Hope you guys have alot more ideas other than those generic HL2 corridors.

Are we going to a see a return to the old Egyptian ruins? Those models indicate we are...

a half skinned model ... why ? why isn't he skinned ? ive seen lots of update and media releases with skinned models or unskinned models, but not one with a half skinned face. :O you guys confuse me, or im confusing myself.

For the screenshots sake, please enable some AA and AF and use a higher resolution! It might not be playable but atleast the screenshot will look nice, I mean come on, that screenshot looks terrible (not saying the map looks bad, just the screenshot image quality).

Other than that, nice work. By the way, I checked out the site, it seems thier media section is broken becuase I can't click the images for larger views. But from what I can see, things are looking quite nice.

Probably an award from some other mod site then. I'd check but the only award giving site I know of for mods is ModDB.

I've never heard of the original. Not much media so far but what they have looks alright.

Arse website though. The site itself isn't too bad, but then you add the slowness, the popups.. ick.
