Greetings!

As some of you may remember, I posted some demo songs a while back. So, me and my old bandmates decided to start anew, and we formed The Hills Have Eyes.

This is just a demo though, so don't expect too much. The guy who sings isn't our vocalist, and his delivery is very cheesy. So, don't pay too much attention to the vocals, and listen to the music itself.

Thanks for listening.

Isn't that some sort of outright copyright violation?

Also, I'd give this a listen, but I have a feeling the computer I'm using would spontaneously combust if I tried...

What the ****?

The Hills Have Eyes is an old expression :)

I don't think it should be an issue.

Did you mean to base it on the movie "The Hills Have Eyes"?

WHOA.

This ****ing kicks ass. Seriously, give 'em a listen. In fact, this is worthy enough to put on my Vision:M.

Hmm, the first part is prog rock. The ending is very ambient, indie stuff.

EDIT: Thanks a lot, Qonfused! We appreciate it :)

I guess i can respect it, but its really not my type of music.

Seems a bit strange that you announce your band on this board around the time when the re-make of "The Hills Have Eyes" is about to be released, hmm?

dude. sounds ****ing great.. congrats on the band, and seriously. this is some niice prog.

Um, to be honest I had sort of forgot that the remake was on its way. I guess that happens when you live in a country where movies are released a month or two after english speaking countries :)

But again, we based the name of the old expression around a year ago, with an homage to the old Wes Craven movie.

Thanks!

The vocals are a placeholder, untill we get a proper vocalist :)

Yep, it's a demo. Produced by me and my drummer. It's not even mastered!

Yeah, I was surprised by the quality of it too!

Good stuff. Music is awesome even if it does dominate the vocals a tad

*downloads*

Thanks. We had some issues with the mixing process, so they are a bit low, yes.

New stuff coming tomorrow if anyone cares :)

You guys definitely have some talent.

Hell, I think I'll save the demos and stick them on my iPod.

A great :)

New stuff is much better, but more far out. Think prog-rock.

Sorry about that, we messed up something in the mix, and the bassdrum ended up sounding horrible. The one I have here that I was supposed to upload sucks so much because of that, I really want you to hear the best version of it. We'll fix it tomorrow, that's friday. I'll get it up then, I promise. You probably won't like it though.

Don't mind waiting :P

And why wouldn't i like it? If you're refering to you saying it will be more proggy, i like prog :P

Well, it's bordering on laughable. Mr. Bungle esque stuff mixed with elevator salsa music and doom metal vs 50's surf guitar speed riffing with bongo drums, topped with some of the silent hill-ish piano music blended in.

No vocals though. And loads of guitar noodling.

lol bring it on!

I like the 2nd track best so far. Great transition from acoustic to electric in the beginning. And I really dig the Spanish theme. Who is the guitar player? He rocks.

Verry nice stuff, I like how you pass to acoustic to metal, verry Creed, I like that. You guys just need to work on the rythem a bit.

That would be me. Thanks :)

A Vulture's Song, interesting lyrics... it was an overall nice song, got a tiny bit repetitive towards the end.
And you sir have a natural talent for the guitar.

I know. I wrote the song sort of over a period of two years, and the "spanish/tex-mex" theme didn't come untill we started recording it. The chorus was from another song, so that probably helped getting that feel.

I'm getting the latest mix of the new stuff now, to test it. If it's good, I'll get it up!

I like it. Not as much as A Vulture's Song, but it's cool. Some bits are like the mars volta with added pep and other bits i can't compare.

keep it up :P

Thanks!

It's not that "instant" as our other stuff, I imagine it takes a while to get used to because of all the things happening. Glad you liked it though :)
