The history of video games assignment

So your friend wrote a major paper while stoned, and got low marks?

lol

I don't think your friend has a future.

Edit: Can you give us some background on the course? What is HNC?

Haha I did enjoy reading the 2 and a half page table on versions of Windows when discussing the history of gaming.

The bit about a development team / game concept / contract agreements etc, was that part of the assignment or just more random wandering?

It had some setbacks but.

But.

BUT.

QUITE NIGHT INDEED.

Much better than your buddehs.

Come on dude, the first paragraph?

"the very first computer game was created game was created".

Also, 'Software, There! Where? Overware!' is surprisingly the first time I've actually cringed at one of your posts.

You're an awful writer. I suppose that's why you're doing a course on video games.

That first assignment is the poorest thing I have ever read, I mean even being stoned is no excuse for it.

Is this for uni??? cause both of them look kinda year 10 ish

Spoilering images does not stop them from being loaded. I don't know how many times I've said this on this ****ing forum.

Too bad it doesn't stop them from sucking too.

Man I wish I could have used Wikipedia as the primary source for my projects in school. Pretty much every professor explicitly stated that Wikipedia could not b e a source. The good thing about it was that you could use the sources of Wikipedia as sources if they were legitimate, though most often I just went from information I found on the Wiki article.

Haha, I caught that too. Made about the same face as well.

I also caught that Hot Numbers still doesn't know shit about how to post images on forums, warning people about large image sizes but then posting them in spoilers which makes the images still load even if you don't open the spoiler.

How does someone in college write something like "I went and done some research." How.

You call this is a work? It's all from Wikipedia.

Said assignment looks like a cut-and-paste from Wikipedia, and both read like they were written by 10-year-olds. But I guess, with your slightly less than adequate grasp on English, that's as good as you can get, right?

I thought the first one was particularly laughable with all the referencing via wikipedia, but you used wikipedia for all your referencing too!?

Christ...I've never written an essay or report using wikipedia as a single reference to anything, I thought most academic institutions forbid it for it's unreliable content. Also...being especially lazy since wiki results usually come up first in a google search.

What level of education is this equivalent too hot? You doing AS levels at college?

*snip*

Glenn, I never said this was an advanced course, you learn a skill set and that it, the written material was pretty basic, we never did nothing close to a proper course with 500 page reports or anything, and to answer your question, its equal to A levels, like I said in a post before, the HNC is worthless.

This thread is the greatest accomplishment of your life.

Morgan911, gone try to find the exact passages from my assignment in wiki, I mean exact passages if your excusing me of perjury.

Trolling mother****er.

Uhh... you mean plagiarism?

*you're.

You think you're swimming to the surface, but you're only going deeper. No pun intended.

To clear up any confusion: In the UK College =/= University. Here it's an alternative to the latter part of high school, or a provider of courses not provided by compulsory education, with University coming afterwards. And believe me, a lot if not most of the people in my college will not make it to University.

Sheepo, you know nothing about me, why are you gloating? :|

Yes I did a games course, yes it was basic to a degee,

What I showed you was a small part of an assignment, nothing more, nothing less.

He pretty much correct. you only get the degees to go to uni.

What do you know about the Saturn you faget? You think all the system had was ports and non-exclusives? You don't know shit about the Saturn. "Watered-down" ports? Tell that to Daytona. Tell that to VF2 which ran at 60fps at 720×575, smashing every rival console's shit at the time. Tell that to goddamn every 2D fighter out at the time. Go ahead and tell it to the perfect MSH vs SF port, which shits all over every other console port of that game.

"Many games that were on the PSX?" Alright first off, don't ever in your life believe that anything that was cross platform on Saturn wasn't ALWAYS done better. Symphony of the Night, that's all I gotta say about that. Secondly, you act like Saturn didn't have one of the best exclusive lineups outside of arcade games. NiGHTS, you uneducated heathen. Panzer Dragoon. Astal. Bug. Legend of Oasis. Guardian Heroes. Burning Rangers.

You don't even know why the console died, you tard. It didn't die due to programming issues, it died in the West because shit marketing and business tactics prevented it from securing third party support, coupled with an ambiguous release date that was capitalized on by the PSX and a high price point. In Japan where they had third party support the console lived up to, and indeed paid for, development of the Dreamcast. Any qualms third parties (at least overseas) had with the Saturn's architecture was already long resolved by that time. If you blame anything for the system's demise blame Kalinske, that idiot.

You're so lucky Segata Sanshiro has ascended to the heavens otherwise you could guarantee he'd be running 200kph to your door right now to slap your shit.

You know I'm not so sure that Segata Sanshiro WON'T come down from the sky and beat your head in. Goddamn, you're writing a paper and you don't even do good research. You seriously don't know SHIT.

Sonic Adventure and SA2 were NEVER panned. That started happening around the time Sonic Heroes came out. The only negative comment ever really levied against SA at the time of its release was directed at Big the Cat. Everything else, the problems people had with the ever increasing number of friends, Sonic's new design, etc., was retroactively bashed after Heroes. Not a goddamn person ever panned the adventure games. And there were no "gameplay flaws," fagmo.

Also, SHENMUE, ya dumb bastard. And don't you ever in your life say an unkind word about that game's voice acting. Shenmue is such a goddamn masterpiece that if you think there's a flaw in it anywhere, about anything, you're flat out wrong. You don't like the voices? That means your ears are screwed up. You got an ear problem and you don't even know it.

Shit, son...you don't even really do any of the other consoles justice. I don't even have time to point out better examples you could've given for some of these, and also some fallacies present. Goddamn you've even got shit wrong about the current generation.

I hope you fail your class. I really do. Unfortunately I'm sure whatever professor you wrote this for won't check to verify that you're full of bullshit, so I can only hope he faults you for your atrocious structure and grammar.

Considering you pilfered most of your information from Wikipedia, you could have at least taken the actual five seconds to generate citations for it.

Toolbox > Cite this page > Pick your flavor of citation

But maybe your system isn't so strict.

Grammar and sentence structure is . . . rudimentary, to say the least.

Ugh.
