when thinking about motives for the mars missions, don't forget that Texas (bush's home state if you didn't know) has many many aerospace firms....not to mention mission control in houston...it's more about votes than everyone thinks.

Well even if the space initiative isn't geared towards all the aerospace companies and what not, its still a vote grab. With pretty decent timing to.

David Kelly's death, however linked to the war, is indepently important.
However, from the views expressed here, I agree, this thread should be closed. It's turning into a Bush/Iraq thread.
