lol that's not a hypothesis it's an attempt at logical deduction. But a deduction requires a minimum of 2 presumptions to be correct.
it would have to go something like this (to use your example):

If assholes can fly

and

HL2.net is full of assholes

then

Hl2.net is an airport.

That's not even correct, but you get the method.
A hypothesis could go something like this:

Halflife2.net is full of arseholes because the gaming community in general is made up of immature 12 year olds.

P.S. these are not my views, I'm just illustrating a point using his examples.
