Uhh.. my websites sort of misleading (Sorry). I may study meteorology sometime down the road, but right now, DeVry does not have a meteorology program - so I am studying my other passion - Networks & Communications Management.

Listening to lectures / in-class (12-18 hrs / week) @ school
Working on Lab assignments ( 4-5 hrs / week ) @ school
Driving to/from school (takes 35-45 minutes each way @ 70 MPH) @ road
Working on homework @ home
Playing computer games @ home -- CS:S right now

Salford isn't exactly the friendleist town in Manchester, but the Uni's a great place, and everyone there's really nice. It's a really odd place, when I think about it; it's 5 minutes from the centre of manchester, surrounded by a scallie breeding ground. Yet it's such a far cry from both in terms of atmosphere.

I love it how people slag off students saying "Ooo, wasting tax payers money, I'm slaving away at work and you're dossing about."

OK.
1) We have to pay all that tax payers money back.
2) After getting a degree we're far more likely to get a higher paying job. Higher paying job = paying more taxes.
3) You're slaving away at work... I'm not. Are you insane? Don't you want to extend your youthful enjoyment of dossing about for as long as possible?
4) Dossing. Yes. Try all those things you always wanted to. Excessive amounts of drink/ drugs. Chance to try some crazy stuff - It's my second term and I'm about to head off to the UK's largest legal rave event, I've met a lad who organises the illegal variety, I've been hypnotised, I've learnt the basics of guitar playing, I tried learning to DJ, I've learnt to be independant of rents, I've gone through the renting house proceedure, I've learnt how to cook... oh, and I'm learning English too... yeah.. nearly forgot about that ;-)

My 3 hour statement was in reference to a history student I know in my university.

As a science student, of course you will be subject to more hours a week.

Me, I can take 6-12 hours a week(it's optional, but you have to do 120 hours in the years at least), I've been doing 12 hours of labs a week for 5 weeks (because I'm drastically falling behind )

And the lectures on top of it.

Don't let the long hours stop me enjoying my life though.

One thing you must do while at uni... is to put food away, clean up crumbs and ran away when you see a huge **** off rat in the middle of your kitchen like i just did. :|
