Had a bout of artists block the past few days, but managed to get myself sorted out by doing this image. Original was approximately 6000x9500, used the photo of Tom Hanks from the official site as a reference. The eyes aren't perfect, but I think they turned out nicely.

I originally wanted to do one of the funny faces he pulls on the trailer, but have nothing handy to get a good still image from.

Just over a days work, started tinkering with it last night, finished it properly just before posting it. The only post processing I did on it was adding a bit of a glow to make the white background a bit softer, everything else was by hand.

As usual, great work Fenric. I really like the way everything just kinda blends together. The colours look spot on and it feels like something taken out of a dream with the lighting and such. Very pleasing to look at.

Think we could have a look at the original for a comparison? Your other portait turned out even better than the original photo. I egerly look forward to your next work.

I was going to say, as the only real issue, that the eyes were slightly askew, but then it turns out that the real Tom Hank's eyes were askew too.

After some careful study of the painting and the source material, the line on his right (our left) cheek could use a slight bit more definition.

It's true that it totally looks like Hanks.

thats superb Fenric,, but I wouldnt say it was the eyes , Id say it would be pretty much identical if you had some more definition around the edges of the nose and nostril area.
