the leaked script (no spoilers)

ok so lately a lot of assholes have been posting some pretty lame "spoilers" that are apparently "from the leaked HL2 script"

so what if valve made a fake script and released it on purpose, so that these guys wouldnt try to get info from valve or hack valves computers, they think they already have all the info. now they just post a bunch of really stupid spoilers, so that the real ones (if any) are lost in the crowd. what im saying is, what if the script is fake, and hl2 will be completely mind blowing to everyone, even those who think they are spoiling it for others?



i sure hope this is the case because some of the spoilers i have heard are pretty lame.

As good an idea that is, I really doubt Valve would do something like that.

That would be cool... and honestly there had to be some kind of "prank" or something cause I NEVER saw the script and I'm a Warez guy (I nkow I'm bad :'(). And when they had the press release they said someone "accidently" put the script in the PreLoad files (or the CS:S beta I forget waht it iwas)... how honestly could someone just "accidently" do that... I'm sorry but thats lame

i doubt it too, but i also doubted that i would ever actually visit xen in half life 1.

That would be a good idea, but it would give false hope to people, people that see a lot of spoilers, will sometimes no end up buying the game.

But I recall that the Vids are diferent that the real game.

My eyes drifted across a couple of spoilers from the script. While they didn't ruin the game or give away the story for me, there were some things that seemed pretty important. I can't remember the specifics, but I remember seeing a few words and thinking to myself "Holy shit, this is DEFINITELY big".

That would be awesome if they did that. It protects them from the real script being stole and burn those bastards that try to get the script in the first place! :flame:

Nice idea. But I doubt they did that. Their fake script could have turned away potential customers, and it just doesn't really seem like it's worth the time and effort.

I accidentally came across a post with a spoiler on the OTHER HL site right before the whole thing broke out. I don't think it was true however. T'was stupid.

However disheartening it is, I know as a fact that the leaked script is in fact the real half life 2 script - entire sections of dialogue appearing in the beta from last october were in the script, and sadly, I know it was an accident (and a big one) on the part of valve

You once spoiled the whole story and said 'what if i said this, you read it in one glimpse' or something, pretending they were fake..

And here again: you feel the urge to convince to people that the spoilers are real. Why would you want to do that? To ruin it again when people get hope again that the spoilers are fake?
