Well, it seems that the hamlet called Hell, will actually be going that one step further, and celebrating the day :D

HELL, Mich. (AP) - They're planning a hot time in Hell on Tuesday. The day bears the date of 6-6-06, or abbreviated as 666 - a number that carries hellish significance. And there's not a snowball's chance in Hell that the day will go unnoticed in the unincorporated hamlet 60 miles west of Detroit.
Nobody is more fired up than John Colone, the town's self-styled mayor and owner of a souvenir shop. "I've got '666' T-shirts and mugs. I'm only ordering 666 (of the items) so once they're gone, that's it," said Colone, also known as Odum Plenty. "Everyone who comes will get a letter of authenticity saying you've celebrated June 6, 2006, in Hell."

Yea I had 2666 posts the other day when talking about it.. Coincidentally, that is my CPU processor speed as well. 2.666 Ghz.


My grandfather might be dying on 6/6/06. Yesterday, my mother said he has about 2 days to live.

I mentioned 666, and she seemed to associate it with something good, but couldn't remember why. I was like, what planet are you from where 666 is a good sign? It's supposedly the sign of the devil right? Well she said, "No, I think it's a good number; it was in the bible". I completely shut down that argument when I said, "Yea, so? HELL IS IN THE BIBLE." Just being in The Bible doesn't necessarily make something a good thing. :hmph:

It's somewhere in revelations. Something along the lines of "And the number of the beast shall be 666"

Pretty random, doesn't mean anything today. Apparently there was a whole system of different numbers and their meanings back then.

Wasn't it misinterpreted? I remember reading a report saying the translations actually point toward the numbers 616.

Annotated New King James version. I have several other translations here as well, but I doubt anyone's interested. ;)

Tomorrow marks the third anniversary of the day I first posted at Counter-Map, which post secured my place as a mapper for these three years. So the reason you all have to put up with me is 666. (Minus three years.)

The wierdest thing is I had a dream a month ago, I actually believed it had to do with that asteroid that was supposed to hit on the 25th of last month. But now you quoted this :O

And now, anger.

I live in Arkansas (obviously). It's a little past 6 p.m., so the evening news is on. The news guys are actually spending valuable air time interviewing a woman who does not want to have her child tomorrow. My ****ing God, I hate rednecks. "Oh no, if my child is born on the sixth of June in 2006 he will most certainly be Satan in corporeal form!" Idiots!

I think this is a rather interesting idea to have a celebration in the name of 6-6-06. Also I think all of the students should be giving permission to skip school if they wish to do so 8D. But really I am glad to see someone taking a lighter side to this event.
