I despise McCain, he's an old fool. But everybody here in Arizona thinks he's some sort of god who can do no wrong...

Straight talk? Christ...

I'm so glad I'm not from Ameriker.

It wouldn't be so bad, if he simply said, "I was mistaken, I believed that, but now I believe this." rather than. "I always believed this". He painted himself into a corner doing that. There's no shame in reassessing your position, but blatant lying,,,?

What a terrible man.

Perhaps I shall stab him now I am an international man of stabbity.

No, reassessing things based on new information or developments is officially called "flip-flopping".

And? So? If it's a genuine 180 degree turn and he's not just doing it to cater popular public opinion, than there's nothing wrong with it. Flip flopping to me, is a stupid political phrase.

I could even technically be called a flip flopper, since I have actually gone almost complete reversal in most of my political views in 2007... but does it make me feel ashamed? No, because it was legitimate and not done with explicit intention to draw an outcome somewhere down the line.

Yeah, but you're admitting it. You're not claiming that you were always right and people just didn't listen to you.

I agree that 'flip-flopping' is a ridiculous term seemingly unique only to politics.

You're preaching to the choir, I was being ironic. Flip-flopping is the most bullshit political label to apply to someone.
If I remember correctly when it was pasted all over Kerry lots of the things he'd supposedly 'flip-flopped' on had had riders attached to the bills etc.
