The desk was a bargain of £20 from Ikea

I'm using 5.1. The inner 2 black speakers are my centerchannel (powered by an AKAI am-2600). The outer ones are powered by a sony radio of which I just use the amp (LBT-205, love it). I'm not using the fridge sized subwoofer atm. I built a new one which is quite a bunch better (down to 17hz flat :D), and smaller :). It's powered by an rbh SAM-200 subwoofer amp (truly awesome) and I'm using an equalizer for it to compensate for the resonance peeks in my room :)(). It's gonna replace the big one for sure.

New subwoofer [passive radiator](I am gonna make a nice finish on this one)

So basically you're blasting your right ear with bass frequencies? I play with a band in school and I can't sit for 2 seconds next to a bass speaker when someone's playing the bass.

I love your setup, lovely retro stuff and the fact that part of it is home made is instawin. I soo want to get into recording to tape and stuff!

I like the retroness and how you went about it as well, but I'm more of a minimalist I guess. I don't think I could stand to have 4 or 5 different things controlling only a few speakers and sub and a bunch of wires everywhere. Awesome none the less.

Sadly I might have to get rid of my setup when I get an apartment. No point in having a 500 watt setup when you can't use it without being bitched at from neighbors.

I'm probally going to get me a nice set of Audio-Technica ATH-A900 headphones.

This new sub has a angry-mom-time of 18 seconds :) (stairclimbing included)

Heh. That's why all my family's entertainment computers are in the basement (which is fully sound-muffled :D). I mean, it doesn't completely block the sound of my dad's bass at midnight, but nothing can :p

I wish we had a basement which I could live in :( I'm in the attic now, that helps quite a bit too (2 floors to pound bass through, still quite easy at 33hz).

I cba to plug in the camera right now, but at least I took the picture, so that's 50% done ;)

BTW, I look at some of the pictures and think - you've got an uber rig but can't afford a proper camera? D:

;)

People and your fancy moniters/speakers. My 5.1 setup doesn't even work, and I still have yet to figure that one out.

Lol. tr0n has the same mouse and keyboard I used to. The keyboard of the pair broke about a week ago. Now I have new ones. :p

Anyways

There would be a chair there. But I took this just after finishing my practice. :p

Yea the mx700 duo is still going for me. :D The setup has been through hell, but still going. The keyboard still works like it was brand new and the mouse well...

The mouse is starting to die. The recharge thing inside the mouse is screwed up and I can't recharge the batteries, so I have to use regular batteries. Which it eats through 2 almost every couple of weeks. Also the paint is gone on the buttons in front of the scroll wheel and behind it, the paint is almost gone on the big side button (Mouse 5?), and some of the paint on both the left and right mouse buttons (where my fingers are) is gone. Oh and I'm missing a little pad thingy on the bottom of the mouse, so I had to use tape to keep it level and smooth (the tape is almost gone as well).

So yea...this thing has been through gaming hell and has lasted over 3 years. When I get a new mouse and keyboard, I plan on catching this setup on fire as a memorial type of thing lolol.
