The most frustrating thing ever

Nothing infuriates me more than a game that for whatever reason never lets you recover the display back to desktop. Like, you'll be stuck at a loading screen(thanks a lot ****ing Empire Total War Demo) that never finishes... and if you alt tab or press ctrl-alt-delete you can see the mouse cursor change like you're hovering over things, but you can't actually view it or really do things to do.

And you end up having to ****ing restart your computer, and miss out on conversations of people that might have been messaging you during that time.


NOTHING pisses me off more than this. Nothing in the world. When something ****s with my computer and forces me to restart, I get incredibly angry. I get fist-fight angry!

Happened a lot on my old comp when a steam game would crash. You're pretty much ****ed once it happens.

World of Goo won't let you alt Tab which pisses me off! I just wanna check my downloads when I'm playing!! how hard is that??

Yeah I hate that bullshit too, though Vista/7's ctrl+alt+del brings up an option screen that lets me select the task manager which then opens on top of the game. Has worked on every game so far.

I hit ctrl alt tab, click around until I find the box then I hit the middle then typing the first letter of the game name (h for hl.exe, w for wow.exe etc) then using the resizing cursor as a help to find the bottom right corner of the box then hitting End Process near it.

Works a charm.

One time playing HL2DM, successive alt+tab's kept degrading the graphics until the screen was bathed in gray and everything became blocky polygons.

That was the funnest game of killbox ever.
