This is the question you were born to answer, this is the very purpose of your life.

Do you consider this forum to be a necessity of your life? Would you go completely batshit without it? Let me explain a bit further. When you are away from the computer, doing whatever you do in life, feel some kind of urge or need to get back to this forum? Do you get the sudden feel of longing to just get on here and spend time with your beloved forumites? Also, what about in the long run? Whenever you dont have access to internet for a whole week, or a month, do you get those moments were you think "man, i really miss those guys" or "****, i really want some hl2.net forums".

Hope you understand the question, feel free to elaborate your feelings about this forum. As for me, i kind of treat this place as my "second life", it doesnt go a day without me thinking "man i cant wait to get on". This is the first thing that popup when i open firefox. I just love the people and the things going on here, theres no other forum like this. This is where i can at the end of the day get away from my normal life and hang out with the people from my "second life". Not even my best friends knows who the **** you guys are, yet i can tell you stuff i wouldnt even consider telling my real friends.

TL: DR, post ur fukken feelings about this place.
 
I'd be bored and have to find something else to entertain me when I don't feel like doing or cannot do any of the other things I do in my life.

I do really like this place. It definitely feels like I've got a whole 'nother life on here. Though sometimes when I have a lot of stuff to do, a busy day or week, I do not mind being away from hl2.net in the least. I guess that should make me feel better about it, a sign that I'm not addicted or something.
 
I like it here. But I guess if I had something better to do I whouldn't really be here as much.

I lived without it for a little over a year, but it took me a month to completely break me away from it.

Basically this. I get most of my funny images/stories from you guys, but other than that I dont depend on this forum.

Nope. I've actually stayed away for a bit, and it's pretty easy to stay away since 90% of you are batshit crazy retards, and being here doesn't further my own potential any longer.

It is a nice place though, I look forward to visiting after surfing through the internet. It's like a 'home' on the internet, somewhere you can go to rest after a long days work.
 
After the forum I administered shut down I spent ages looking for a decent community. This one's been a pleasant surprise. Wouldn't say I couldn't live without it, just always makes for some entertaining reading.

My answer to that question would have been yes, years ago.

Now I don't feel any kind of attachment to the Internet.

On two occasions I left this forum for about 6 months, for whatever reason.

Now that I'm back, I don't know why I was absent for those 6 months, even though I mostly lurk around.

Oh ho ho ho. I'm not so sure about that. There are annoying 'friends' in real life, and there are even more online. Also, we're in a community forum here, we all post together. It's not like you choose who you hang out with.
 
No. I don't visit that often these days, but it's a familiar place to be when I've had a tiring or shitty day IRL.

Relax buddy, I wasn't being that serious. :P You choose what forum to be in, don't you? I don't think I would post here if I didn't like the place. I don't ask my annoying friends if they wanna go out and have a cold one. Unless they're rich. :D So I guess I can say I like Hl2.net because it's rich. It is, isn't it? *worried*

I love you ******s. I don't think hl2.net is a necessity, but I choose to come here almost every day and tell you guys dribs and drabs about my life, or try and help with other people's, read about ridiculous news stories or simply lol at the hilariousness of some of you (laughing WITH you I swear <3) I also enjoy seeing your funny little faces and talking to some of you on msn etc.

I consider this forum an outlet to any bottled hate I might be holding. Otherwise, it's just a place to keep up with the world at large.
