He's certainly got the young Sean Connery vibe going.

James Bond is supposed to be the attractive English Gentleman. Not the scary guy who sits in the corner at the pub. I looked at some other pictures of him, and I just don't see how it will work. Has anyone other than yahoo reported this?

Clive Owen looks far better suited.

I just don't see that he can possibly pull off suave, he looks like a bit of a brute. Bond is supposed to be dapper but hard as f*cking nails, something that no-one's pulled off better than Connery.

Ah, I hate Daniel Craig, with his fake-looking eyes....it's one of those irrational hatreds that springs from no one source. I feel the same towards Nick Nolte.

Bring back Roger Moore.

Yeah, I don't think hes that bad either. More rugged that Brosnan certainly, but not a bad looking dude.

I'm pretty sure this new guy is the lead actor in Layer Cake (L4YER CAK3)

In which case, he is a very good actor and will fit the part perfectly. Unfortunately, the new bonds completely suck. I've said it before and i'll say it again. Ferraris that fall out of planes @ 20,000ft do not stick in the ground without a scratch on them.

This sucks, Pierce was the best James Bond and Im not sure if anyone can take his spot and do as good as he did.

I still thought that Ioan Gruffudd could have done the part. Oh well.

This is being reported by the Sun "newpaper" sources. This makes the info as reliable as a game of spin the bottle on a steep slope.

The new bond will not be announced untill much nearer the time. Untill then, all is speculation. Unless its from the sun, in which case it is just wrong...

Daniel Craig may be a good looking man, but he is no James Bond. Unless the makeup department are really really good, he is not the man for the job. Look at Sean Connery. Now look at Daniel Craig. Does it work? No.
 
craigs a pretty good actor,he was good in road to perdition,but its not like being a good actor matters to be bond *cough*lazenby*cough*

Very true, but Connery and Brosnan pulled it off without looking like they constantly had one hand shoved down their tuxedo trousers fapping away.
It wouldn't have surprised me in the least if Roger Moore tried to "seduce" a lady by substituting her champagne glass for his nob when she wasn't looking, following it up with a poetic:
"Go on y'dirty vixen! Y'know you want it!"
 
He'd make a great Sam Fisher, but Bond... I'm not sure. I would have preferred Clive Owen or Julian McMahon, but whatever.
 
Yes, he'd be very good as Sam Fisher, but he's not "bond-like".
 
I just looked at the Daniel Craig guy, he looks like Christopher Eccleston's poorer brother.

For some reason Julian McMahon always looks like a villain guy to me.
 
You don't need to be a good actor to play James Bond, you just need *it*. I mean Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan weren't *great* actors, but they had the natural look & attitude to pull it off. I'll reserve judgment on this guy because to be quite honest I haven't seen any of his movies.
