The games industry has changed alot recently. It is not so much a slave trade, people generaly work 9-5 like any other person. Perhaps you don't relize how hard it is to produce games bug free?!
At the end of the day if you look through your games im sure a shead load of them are EA, not nessercelery developed by EA but they publish alot, and if they didnt you wouldnt be playing alot of your favorate games.

They are trying to make money and i think overall customers are happy... tbh I'm abit annoyed with Battle field patches but from what i am to understand thats up to dice.. not EA.
Tell that to Bethesda and Valve, for instance....It is not so much a slave trade, people generaly work 9-5 like any other person.
Indeed. If EA themselves make the game, it's pretty shitty most of the time. Their extra shit-influences on developers just add to the crapcake. The Spore issue is interesting indeed but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Otherwise I'm going to have no problem whatsoever not buying games published by EA.

Many small developers that EA buy up would go down any way. Having one hit dosn't make a company. The money comes from the publishers and if they don't want somthing you are screwed. If anything EA would be helping those small developers keep running but of course there are going to be deadlines, if there wasn't nothing would get done.
From my understanding many small developers will make one game, scrap the company and start again under a new development team, this gets rid of their debts and dosnt put publishers off.
They also addressed the message board hate, especially how everyone says they're completely devoid of innovation. Not true, they said! EA doesn't just make yearly iterations of sports games, they also have original franchises like the Sims! and C&C Generals! and Spore!!!
sticky!!!
I propose a "**** you ea day".
no!?
good work with C&C community +1
Renegade was still made by Westwood, but got influenced by EA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_&_Conquer:_RenegadeWhat EA for C&C:
Renegade (Although the multiplayer is fun the story is a pile of crap and contradits TS and TD alot)
Is that a typo? Nice work on generals, huh?
*sniff*
EA killed westwood...RIP.
RA3: Dead. Renegade 2: Certified. Generals: What the... Twllight: Gone.
I need a headcrab airstrike ASAP on the EA headquarters! [/sarcasm]
