Kudos on a fantastic thread idea. I listen to so much music but there'll always be the few I go back to.

Recently I've been playing Everloving by Moby a hell of a lot.

Instrumentals are often perfect for me, as sometimes I don't want to listen to words which make the music less personal and subjective, I'd rather soak in the atmosphere of the music itself and the feelings it conveys. This song, I find, is charged with a very deep sorrow, growing slowly until it's almost unbearable. What I particularly love about Everloving is how each section adds more and more layers to the song, each beautiful, culminating in a final section so bursting with soulful emotion it makes me want to scream from a mountaintop.

Mostly because my life has been going up and down randomly for the past few weeks. There's been good and there's been bad, but the bad is slowly overwhelming the good.

A lot of things have been going wrong for me lately, but I'm sure I'll turn it around eventually.

Just started listening to Modest Mouse a few months ago and this song has really struck me. I've listened to it over and over and it still gets me. Lately I've been messing things up to the point where I just want to get out so other people and my family don't have to cope with my screw ups. I've really come to realize a lot about myself, and a hell of a lot of it is in this song.
