The Official "Zeppelin owns Doom 3" Thread

Haha, that's funny shet. I once listened to some tape made by fundamentalists or something and it was hilarious man! Their main point seemed to be to make Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath the scapecoats to anything from kids smoking pot to Church of Satan increasing in popularity.

The funiest part was when the guy went on for like 30 minutes on describing how Ozzy bit the head off the dove, drank it's blood, and hailed Satan, while the whole insident actually was just drunken Ozzy having fun.

hehe he says he doesnt remember doing it cuz he was so drunk

i'm jealous of you now :(

I saw the who back in 1982, their first farewell tour, before Townsend lost most of his hearing (it was really loud) ...I was 20 feet from the stage ...I could see the sweat on townsends face. They played a lot of their older more obscure stuff ...they played almost all of quadrophenia

Dude, Frampton Comes Alive beats any Who album ever

Frampton > Townsend

'nuff said.

frampton better than townsend? I think even frampton would laugh at that ...he had one good album

I've got to agree on this one. Do You Feel is an outstanding song, and the whole recording is very good, but that's the only one of Frampton's albums that I can consider great.

well to his credit ...he was on the Simpsons ...but so was townsend :)

The Darkness are pretty good, but they don't have their own sound! They'd be nothing without Led Zeppelin or Queen. Nothing I tells ya!

To tie in with the Hendrix-Satan thingummy: The couple of chords played at the beginning of Purple Haze (sure it was about a dream, Jimi, sure it was...) are supposed to invoke the devil, or so was thought by Catholics of, I believe the Inquisition era. So now you know. Feel enriched, don't you.

Every band steals from another band, but the Darkness more than anyone else. Seems like almost everyone in the industry has had bad things to say about them, but they seem cool about it and they're just having a laugh so I don't see anything wrong with that. They're not bad to listen to either.

Argh, Led Zep and Pink Floyd are damn cool, but it's so hard for me to get into retro stuff! I can chill to Dark Side Of The Moon, but I have to be really mellow to sit through it, and it's no good just listening to individual tracks (even though I have it on my playlist). I just got the Led Zep remasters too, currently hooked on Good Times Bad Times and Stairway To Heaven :) Gotta check out some Who...

Unnecessary over-extended drum solos make anything better.
