The one that got away..game challenges you gave up on

Dead Rising. A great and fun game but the timer turned me off eventually. Haven't touched the game for a year now. I Am gonna have to give it another whirl soon.

Glitch it to piss off the timer, although if you use this glitch you can't do the story. It makes it so you don't do anything, but you still have to make it to the chopper at the end. It's how I got the Mega Man Blaster, plus the 50k zombie achievement.

Basically if you use this glitch you don't do the story missions, except you have to be at the chopper after 72 hours, and you can still save survivors and do side missions.

You have to start a new game, then you have to wait at the first part (when the zombies first come into the mall) until it goes dark, then you go on the game as usual, then when you go to the warehouse (where the elevator is) for the first time, it'll play the queen bee cinematic (when you first kill a queen), and there, glitch is set.

@ the OP

I remember the Special Forces training in AA, took me a damn long time to finally finish that. I'm too paranoid to play AA now because I don't fancy tinkering with a United States Army recruitment tool in this era of of political unrest. Bleh.

Getting rank 100 in Psychonauts (this is because the computer with Psychonauts on it doesn't have a monitor plugged into it at the moment).

It's annoying that the game doesn't prompt you to save before "the point of no return". If I want rank 100 I have to start from the beginning it would seem, since I didn't finish the scavenger hunt.

Protecting ****ing Professor Krugov in the Wild Territory in STALKER. An Ecosuit can't be worth that so I just let him die. Also, ****ing Jak 2 and 3. there were certain missions that made me just give up, such as using Daxter to steer a missile. Driving a hover bike across lave with the ****ing air ballons near the end of the first one was complete bullshit too.

hmmm the only haunting ones that I never really went back to complete(probably never will) were Ruby and Emerald Weapons in FF7 and Omega weapon in FF8.

I got every single achievement for Portal except the friggin "Science" ones, and I never will

I just remembered one of my very earliest abandonned game/heartbreak stories. I was playing Space Harrier on the Sega Master System--that's right, the one before Genesis that noone bought. I was nearing the last wave of bosses, which was basicaly a reprise of every single boss encountered in the game, and hit pause to go do something. I returned all fired up to finish my game, but in my haste hit the reset button.

I never got that far in the game again.
