Funny how I think Gears of War implements cover based action so poorly, yet many people seem to think that series was the first to standardize the feature as well as revolutionize the TPS shooter genre.

tl;dr I didn't need this announcement to tell me how ridiculously overrated the genre has become.

Yeah, I don't get how Gears gets credit for this. I was using a VERY similar cover mechanic in Rolling Thunder and even Shinobi WAAAAYY back in the day. Chest-high barrels/crates FTW!!
