And just when I was finally havin' fun! I'm on the water hazard level and was enjoying the high seas (so much so I took some pics) when I've apparently run out of water. First, the pics. I thought the imagery in this was beautiful. Dark, foreboding & gloomy with the wind whistling in your ears. I got out of the hovercraft to take this one:

I headed off to my east and picked up some supplies dropped from above. Next I proceeded into a moat-like area where it seems nothing can be done. I came back out, disembarked and stood on the shore watching. I had knocked down two of those stupid cameras. Now all is silent, save the wind. I stood on the shore and watched:

Is this the end of the road for the hovercraft? Can someone hint what to do next?

Wow.

Keep moving. Der.

You go under the bridge that the guy tossed the supplies from. You should run into the building with the chopper battle soon after.

Find all of the blue barrels near the Wooden-Bridge type of thing, and go underwater and raise it up. Then continue. :)

Ah. Figured that he got that one figured and was like "wtf?".

Hehe.

Yeah, that one took me a while too. On my first run, I took all the barrels and put them on the opposite end of the platform, because I thought that I was supposed to weigh down the platform with them :p Took me a damn good few hours positioning the barrels so that they didn't roll down.

Swam down to grab the barrels under water, when it hit me :(

I guess you thought it would be more fun if you left out the MINOR details like
"Find all of the blue barrels near the Wooden-Bridge type of thing, and go underwater and raise it up. Then continue"

but, der, thanks anyway (I think) :p
*and of corse thank YOU Polar_Bear

Well aren't we quick to insult.

Please, lower your voice.

Remember, the game design is very linear. Very rarely will you find yourself backtracking.

Oh and by the way, I like those pictures you are taking for your threads.

Easy SinkO, it was jab, not an insult. I come here for help, not insults myself. I took "der" as a "duh". If I was wrong I apologize.

Well, if you took a few minutes to explore the area, you would have had to make this thread in the first place.
:D
Enjoy the rest of the game.

Yes, I thnk they've already told him what to do. :p

Question

I've got a question for you... wackjob...

Have you got a brain in your head??? :rolling:
If so please use it.
I am sure we all don't mind helping out someone genuinely stuck, however your are just taking the p***. :flame:

Is there anyone apart from me, who didn't have to ask anyone what to do, for ANY of the puzzles in Half-life 2?

Sorry, to sound big headed and all, but really, its more fun if you work it out for your self.

I think most people were able to complete the puzzles without any problems. That's kind of a bummer to me though. I would like some more challenging puzzles.

Yes. Yes there is.

When writing the walkthrough for HL2, I thought to myself "jesus christ, how the hell is it even possible to get stuck on this game? The only bit that's remotely puzzly-hard is that bit with the valve and the flooding room and I figured that out after 20 minutes or so. It's so pointless even writing a walkthrough for this game, it's just 'turn left', 'turn right', 'press the button'..."

I never get so sutck in the puzzles so much,I allways finded what to do by just exploring

I am sure hl2 will be hard to a person that is get used to play fps like halo, sure they will never find out how to solve puzzles like that

I got stuck at this one part, so I thought about it, and then I wasn't stuck anymore.

That was also the only part where I was stuck, but I also figured it out myself :)

I did first build a ladder of the barrels instead of using the ladder to get to the room with the valve :D
