The only puropse of life is to survive. Animals do this my hunting, Humans do this by working. Money is obtained by working which you can buy food, clothes, a place to live and other things to enhance your life. Unfortunalty humans focus to much on the enhancing part rather than the surviving part.

Someone said that the purpose of life is what you make it. Incorrect. The purpose of OUR lives is what we make it, however, it is the Universe, and it's nature that ultimately determines the purpose of life. The purpose of life is to be at one with the nature of the universe and live in harmony with it. Applying our perceptions of 'improving living standards' and 'having fun' will ultimately end in our elimination for these perceptions are not consistent with the nature of the universe.

The purpose of your life is decided almost entirely on your enviroment. If you are from a really unhappy setting, your purpose might be 'being happy'. If you are from a war-torn country, your purpose might be to 'avenge my parents and kill lots of infidels'. Ect.

Eliminating percieved threats may make you happy, but doesnt make the percieved threat happy.

Spreading your seed may make the spreader happy, but doesnt make the one who cant spread happy.

Living according to the nature of the universe makes me happy makes you happy makes EVERYTHING as happy as can be. Hence the purpse of the universe.

This is generalized abstract non-sense. Everyone has different purposes in their life, but they all do it for gaining happiness. Human being is subjective, they only do thing for their OWN happiness. You think what make you happy is you happy making everything as happy as can be. That is, inclusively, subjective as well. Making others happy makes you feel happy, you are still confined within "you do it for happiness".

But you cannot deny that your feelings, your senses, your thinkings are subjective. You cannot be objective, i.e. you are not the God. Our brain is subjective. We do thing for happiness, no matter we think we are the centre of the universe or not.

Doubtlessly, You are right. But two persons, one is Chinese, one is American, these two persons are human. Subjectivities are not the same, but we are all subjective.

We like to continue to survive because death or extinction is horrible. Horrible is of a very low degree of happiness. To generalize it, we are trying to gain happiness. So our purpose of life is what we want to and have to do, that's happiness.

I generalized the purposes of life into happiness because I don't want to make people feel to complicated of it. Life is very easy and understandable.
