I easily outrun a sentry as a Scout. In fact I'm going to boot up some TF2 and kick some ass right now.

They're always wrong. They make it wrong to boost up the power of the class. Look at the Meet The ENgie video. He has like 5 Sentries. And look at the Demoman video. You don't think the Heavy would shoot him down from a distance rather than run straight up to him?

Not that it matters.
 
And the stickies still contact-kill even after a bounce, unlike in game.

For the record, they did add a little disclaimer, only readable on the HD Steam version, right near the end IIRC.

The only thing the Scout video was missing was batting a sentry to death (circlestrafing of course).

(Also, maybe the sentry was aiming for the other guys on his team, that's why it missed?)
 
Sentries need a slower lock-on time. They shouldn't be able to swirl around 180 degrees in half a second. ENGINEERS SHOULD HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE DEPLOYMENT OF A SENTRY GUN.

Right now an engy can plop an SG in the middle of ****where and still make the entire region impassible to scouts.
 
Sentries need a slower lock-on time. They shouldn't be able to swirl around 180 degrees in half a second. ENGINEERS SHOULD HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE DEPLOYMENT OF A SENTRY GUN.

I guess you have to take into account the high sentry destruction rate.
 
High destruction rate? Let's see... the only things that can take out a sentry right now are...

1) An Uber
2) A demoman given enough time.
3) Engineer stupidity

Yup, that's pretty much it if you're a half decent engineer in a half decent position. Assuming you're not flicking your bean elsewhere, you can sit idly behind your engineer whacking away with the spanner clueless to whats actually going on. MEANWHILE a hardworking team is working together diligently trying to destroy one of PROBABLY FOUR sentries.

Happens all the time on maps like 2fort, dustbowl, well, and badlands. I'm not even complaining about the SG being overpowered, I'm just saying the rotation of the SG should be cut in at least half.

What happened to spies, soldiers from distance, sneaky snipers (kill the engineer, then the sentry) and just about anything that can be fired at least somewhat accurately from distance?

It's called Team Fortress for a reason. The team is supposed to work together, not some scout take out the whole enemy. If anything, I'd say the scout is overpowered more than anything else.
 
Anyone else notice how realistic the Scouts lips where? I know, it's a weird thing to notice. It's most noticeable at the end when he's chewing. When the lips contract they have little creases like they would in real life.

Crazy attention to detail there.
 
yeah i was wondering if that was bone-based or some sort of material modification...
 
Source facial expressions are vertex animation based.
