My God, this movie has actually restored my hope in the Simpsons.

"Spider Pig, Spider Pig..."

...no. that just looks so non-simpson-ish it was painful to watch. It honestly reminded me of that stupid rugrats movie that came out like 8 years ago... just no.

the only hint of good ol simpsons was the spider pig, and even that just made me smile.

Please, after this movie either go back to hilarious simpsons (aka 10 years ago when it was at it's prime) material, or just let it die with a shred of dignity.

I am not hopeful. Looks very beautifully animated and hilarious, but shallow and stupid. Just like seasons 10-17 or whatever they're on now.

I got a bit more excited for it after seeing that. "Spider pig"

I think it looks really good :D

There is another clip where he is on the roof hammering nails in, but didn't show it there, he hits his finger, changes positions, then falls through the roof lol.

it was spider pig that made me cringe the most really. TRYING TOO HARD AREN'T YOU SIMPSONS....AREN'T YOU

Lol @ spider pig.

"Did I save the day?"

"No, actually you doomed us all"

Hopefully they will let it go into the night after this. Like my sig says, "All glory is fleeting", and that applies to The Simpsons too. It's slowly gone down the crapper this last decade, and it's time to retire it with at least some shred of dignity and honor.

Oh, and I won't be going to see this movie.

Looks lame as ****....Camp Krustie was originally going to be a movie..now that would've been something.

This is horrible.

Ehh... Simpsons suck now, they are trying too hard to be like Family Guy, not making any sense and thinking it's funny, the newer episodes (about 2 years back till now) are not funny!

The best Simpsons episode, which they should go back to and make more like it, is where Bart gets Duncan the race horse, and Homer is threatened by the Jockeys, that episode had no stupid lessons or anything, and it didn't have those jokes that made no sense, it didn't have any sad moments, basically the entire episode was funny without trying to be too funny. It's the prefect example of an episode of the Simpsons that the creators should watch 10 times, then make their new ones like it.

Perfect episode.

How you can say later episodes don't make sense compared to an episode which sees Homer being threatened by impish Jockeys that live in an underground oasis/paradise underneath the racetrack is beyond me.

I dunno, it just has a story, opposed to the new ones, where they do have a story but it's very weak in presence..

I don't know, that episode is probably my favorite, it's the all around best.. I think you know what I'm talking about, your just jerking my chain! Like certain jokes make no sense, and they think it's funny, or they use those prolonged jokes.. The first time Peter in FG banged his knee on the mailbox and sat there for a while going "ahhh!" it was funny, then everybody started doing it, and it wasn't funny anymore (like in the newer episode of FG Stewie stands for literally 5 minutes going mom, mom , mommy, etc; I honestly was ready to change the channel cause it lasted WAY too long, and wasn't funny in the least..), or on FG when they use those jokes that have nothing to do with anything, like when something happens and they say "oh, it's like that time when..." and it goes to a scene that doesn't have anything to do with anything, and goes back to the story, the Simpsons are starting to do that, in that particular episode of the Simpsons, the jockeys were part of the story, it wasn't some little side-thing trying to make it funnier.

The newer episodes are too Family Guy-esque..

I know you know what I'm talking about.

Family Guy is horrible. The Simpsons still has the funny, for me.

Well, what I'm saying is that they are both horrible, only Family Guy always sucked, where the Simpsons is trying to be like something else, ATLEAST FG was original.

Bottom line:

Old Simpsons - Good
New Simpsons - Suck, too much like FG

Old Family Guy - Suck
New Family Guy - Suck, tried too much to be like older episodes.

Originality can only go so far. To me, it was original on the first episode. Then they just copy and pasted the same joke for each additional episode.

The only humourous part was spider pig :(

Seasons 7 and 8 are Simpsons at its prime. Josh Weinstein Bill Oakley did everything absolutely right! The show was heartfelt, it involved the families and made you feel for the characters who felt real, while at the same time hilarious and original with out-of-the-box thinking. One third family, one third crazy comedy and one third out-of-the-box. Brilliant.

Yes. Yes.

I can't stand Family Guy, especially after watching those two South Park episodes pointing out just how random and plotless it is.

I do agree agree that the writers should go back and watch the older, good episodes.

Like the one where Homer's car gets stuck in New York. I loved that episode.

EDIT: Ooo, looky, I found it.

That's actually a Simpsons episode I've never seen before - probably the only one - but I knew it exsisted, I just never caught it on TV.

It was never shown again after 9/11 because of the WTC being in it.

Well Sky One had no problem showing it here. D:

Now South Park! That is a show that gets funnier and funnier as it goes, the old episodes were funny when they were new, but now they suck (like the first episode where Cartman gets the probes in his ass, funny when it came out, now it's just terrible, weird mechanic, eh?) Funniest new episode is when Cartman is waiting for the Wii, omg so funny!

I dunno, lately South Park has relied far too heavily on parodies and ripoffs of existing shows and movies, rather than coming up with original plotlines. That being said-

Sanctum Piter oteum, Deus ore uneum.
Hippitus hoppitus reus homine.
In suspiratoreum, lepus in re sanctum.
Hippitus hoppitus Deus Domine.

YES! I love whoever posted the New York simpsons episode, that had me in constant stiches when i watched it :D

"Dad, can we ever come back to New York?"

We'll see, honey *Splat - bag of drugs* We'll see..."

Looks okay... they waited too damn long to make a movie tbh.

Yeah. It's been getting tedious to watch lately.

I'm glad I could be of a non-sexual service. :D

i think the funniest moments in Simpsons that really brings out how hilariosu the writers acutally are, was the episode where they meet that gay bowling guy, and the funniest moment is when Homer takes Bart to the gay steel mill, then they all start dancing to that mid-90's dance music ahhahaa. GREAT PART.

oh wait here it is ahaha
