The Sims 3 lols

I'm actually interested, not so much in the game but if they try to add anything original to the title. Sims 2 was just an updated Sims, maybe this will be something a little different?

Quite excited for this, Sims 2 was fun. :)

Sims! I had every expansion pack and then they released Sims 2 :x

I might look into this as I've never tried the sims and I've wanted to try it out.

No I know a couple of people who haven't played it :|

Well, it's just so famous. Everybody I know played The Sims and I can't even see anything so special about it!
And by the way, I was joking before.

Sims 2 was great. Yes, the basic gameplay was still there, but it added in so much more. I'm looking quite forward to The Sims 3.

Oh right it's just that I know some people would probably mean that as the sims is so famous :|

That jewel thing looks delicious.

Reminds me of those ring-pops.

/drools

I think they ruined the Sims with the first expansion pack, but I never played Sims 2.

The sims 2... I got really addicted to watching sims music videos and stuff on youtube. But they were deceptive, it made me think I could have emotional sim relationships that were intriguing and made me feel sad and attached to the little people... but no.

Those little shits wanted nothing but to eat constantly, piss constantly, exercise constantly, kiss constantly, play constantly and sleep constantly.

IT BECAME STRESSFUL! SO I LOCKED THEM UP INTO A SMALL ROOM WITH ONE TREADMILL, A SHIT LOAD OF FOOD, AND NOTHING ELSE.

They were then allowed to eat, piss, exercise, kiss, and hopefully play and sleep constantly.

But no... they wanted to die instead.

I ****ing love The Sims. I remember coming home drunk one night and started playing it. And when my first child was born, I shed some tears of joy.

And then you just remembered he was a pixelized three dimensional figure and so you stuffed him in the electric oven and then threw the oven into the love spa where he was conceived.

Now that you say that, a domestic violence expansion would be really kickass.

An EA developed Dungeon Keeper would probably suck. Dungeon Keeper was an awesome game though. Bullfrog FTMFW.

Is there not enough Sims to last a lifetime?

Meh. Sims has more expansion packs then games that game out all of last year....

I never played the sims either. Still not interested.

The sims were fun. Here's hoping the new engine is even more realistic and includes stuff like owning a car.

Lol theotherguy. After the "Valve is singular" argument in that one thread, now you're referring to a game as plural?

Because in that life you will probably be happy, rich and/or famous.

Because locking yourself into a 2 by 2 foot room in real life isn't as appealing as doing it in the Sims.

I'll probably buy it and love it to death like I did the Sims 1 and the Sims 2.

I'll hate it after about a month but until them my real life will be replaced by a digital one.

The best way to play the sims is to make a bunch of different celebrities or fictional characters, put them all together in one big house and watch them. You don't "play" the sims, you build and create, then watch. :)

At least that's what I do...

Cool.

Could be good if what I've heard about it being more open-world is true. I loved the Sims for about a week and then got sick of it. Same with the Sims 2. I actually tried starting it up again today with all of my friend's expansions, started making the Freeman family with Gordon, Barney, Alyx, D.O.G... then I got sidetracked and just played Half-Life some more.

Sims 2 is a great break from CS TF2 etc. I'm quite interested to see what they add to Sims3 (beyond an obvious engine upgrade).
